Every dish felt thoughtful, balanced, and genuinely delicious — not overcomplicated, just done right. You can taste the quality. The service? Honestly beyond my expectations. Warm, attentive, natural — not intrusive, not rushed. That effortless Italian hospitality you secretly hope for when you land here. And the desserts… I’m convinced they were sent directly from heaven. No other explanationNow let’s talk about the part that shocked us the most — the price. Three people. Starter, main course, dessert, 1L of wine at the table plus 1.5L of wine to take away. Less than 100€. In Milan. You truly feel like you’ve experienced real Italy — without the “tourist trap” bill at the end. Highly recommended. We’ll definitely be back. 🍷✨

02/03/2026: Giulio Pane e Ojo’s decor, service and lively atmosphere made me feel cosy, welcome and totally at home; I might have been eating the Italian equivalent of my grandma’s home cooking. I’ve always wanted to try chicory, so we started with the sautéed chicory with chilli pepper, oil and garlic and the ‘Roman’ fried zucchini flowers with mozzarella and anchovies. I honestly can’t remember what the tomato dish was called but we enjoyed everything. The spaghetti Cacio e Pepe was perfectly seasoned and the pasta like nothing I have ever tasted in Australia. The pasta with chickpeas and kale was also tasty and so satisfying. Dessert of apple pie and chocolate soufflé with pistachio cream did not disappoint. Highly recommend this traditional, country style restaurant.

01/03/2026: Bad, bad, bad, Amatriciana with raw sauce poured over it practically cold, very salty carbonara. If you mess up the Amatriciana and Carbonara in a Roman restaurant, forget it, change jobs!!!!

28/02/2026: BEST RESTAURANT IN MILANO!!! Best perilla ever, come here for the true Roman treatment, they are the best ❤️❤️❤️ they are friendly and accommodating to la rose and gluten free diets, they are very kind!!!

31/05/2025: Torniamo da Nonna Maria dopo un anno: l’atmosfera è la stessa e simile il menu (che, del resto, risente della stagionalità). Questa volta scegliamo purea fave e pecorino, tortino di pecorino, tonnarelli alla carbonara + cacio e pepe e porchetta con patate: tutto ben preparato e gustoso, ma non del tutto all’altezza della scorsa volta. Ovviamente anche lo chef può avere a volte qualche piccola defaillance, e dunque lo perdoniamo gustandoci un amaro Nerone. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo e sempre buono il servizio con personale cordiale e disponibile.

28/05/2025: Prenotato per 4 ( 3 adulti e un bambino), ristorante piccolo ma curato, lo valuto molto negativamente per dei punti secondo me imprescindibili. Abbiamo richiesto del vino in calice, ci viene portato via il calice e versato chissà dove, senza che ci ci venga comunicato quale vino fosse, al costo di 6€.. al momento del pagamento ( effettuato in contanti) il titolare si “dimentica” di emettere scontrino, ma stampa solo il promemoria. Il conto comprendeva 2 bottiglie d’acqua ( io ne avevo richiesta solo 1 ), acqua micro filtrata, senza che venisse menzionato da nessuna parte. Poi vista l’età di mio figlio ( 4 anni) ho chiesto se era possibile un piatto più piccolo, al momento dell’ordine mi è stato comunicato che non ci fosse nessun problema, il problema l’ho trovato al momento del conto visto che mi è stato fatto pagare a prezzo pieno. La qualità dei piatti nella media ma non può essere tollerata una così mancanza di rispetto verso il cliente.P.s: Attendo risposta

15/03/2026: In the morning, I called to reserve a table for 12. I was told there were two seatings available: one at 7:30 PM and one at 10:30 PM. We chose the latter. We arrived promptly at 10:15 PM, but a rather surprising sequence of mix-ups ensued: initially, the reservation wasn't listed, then it appeared, but for 6 people, and, after an already unpleasant wait, we were informed that the kitchen would close at 11:30 PM. Frankly, it's hard to understand the rationale behind this kind of management. It would have been much more appropriate to simply say there was no availability, allowing us to organize elsewhere without wasting time. The result is that you've lost 12 customers, in addition to the people we could have directed to your restaurant. If they were to ask me about you, it's better not to.
