22/06/2025: Typical Roman cuisine restaurant, among those in Milan that for over 20 years have offered a wide selection of typical dishes that respect tradition. Atmosphere: a bit predictable in the layout halfway between a trattoria and a vintage restaurant, in the style of many restaurants in Milan. Menu: classic cuisine based on appetizers, first courses and second courses. Especially for the first courses, you can choose between the great classics such as carbonara, cacio e pepe, all'amatriciana and alla gricia. Also worth trying are the artichokes alla romana or alla giudía, not to mention the legendary coda alla vaccinara. But also among the second courses, all the meats of the Roman menu from meatballs, to saltimbocca, to abbacchio. Vegetable side dishes with garlic and chili pepper, for those who like them. Today both the gricia and the carbonara were extremely full of flavor, a little too tasty. The sparkling water is slightly sparkling (as per Roman tradition). Service: at the table, fast and attentive to customer feedback. Easily reachable with the Porta Romana metro. Reservations required! Update June 2025. The Roman-style artichokes were inedible (following our evidence it was removed from the bill, thank you). A waiter did not know the difference between spaghettoni and tagliatelle...🤔 After so many years, mistakes of this type are forgiven (as long as they do not happen again)

28/06/2025: Came here because the location is nice. As soon as we sat down, many extra things came but not what we ordered. The owner try so hard to be nice, its way too much. Sad because the rest of the team seem very nice but we will never know, the owner tries to be everywhere and push you to order more and more. You have a great location, a great team, please, just relax. And let people enjoy.

27/06/2025: the restaurant is certainly of good quality as far as food and location are concerned, the positioning of the tables is questionable, they are often aligned a few centimeters from the tram tracks (active) as a result, once you get past the fact that your seat is comparable to the seat of a tram stop shelter, in addition to the almost always small round table for an aperitif or coffee at the "sports bar" ... if you are lucky enough to book a normal dinner and not crowded by those who come to create group chaos, meetings, noise ... well you can spend your evening dining in the Roman style and admiring the medieval art of the basilica and the ruins which also belong to the late Roman Empire. I recommend booking on weekdays specifying the type of table, position and whether there will be large groups... in that case avoid...! Ren

31/05/2025: Torniamo da Nonna Maria dopo un anno: l’atmosfera è la stessa e simile il menu (che, del resto, risente della stagionalità). Questa volta scegliamo purea fave e pecorino, tortino di pecorino, tonnarelli alla carbonara + cacio e pepe e porchetta con patate: tutto ben preparato e gustoso, ma non del tutto all’altezza della scorsa volta. Ovviamente anche lo chef può avere a volte qualche piccola defaillance, e dunque lo perdoniamo gustandoci un amaro Nerone. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo e sempre buono il servizio con personale cordiale e disponibile.

28/05/2025: Prenotato per 4 ( 3 adulti e un bambino), ristorante piccolo ma curato, lo valuto molto negativamente per dei punti secondo me imprescindibili. Abbiamo richiesto del vino in calice, ci viene portato via il calice e versato chissà dove, senza che ci ci venga comunicato quale vino fosse, al costo di 6€.. al momento del pagamento ( effettuato in contanti) il titolare si “dimentica” di emettere scontrino, ma stampa solo il promemoria. Il conto comprendeva 2 bottiglie d’acqua ( io ne avevo richiesta solo 1 ), acqua micro filtrata, senza che venisse menzionato da nessuna parte. Poi vista l’età di mio figlio ( 4 anni) ho chiesto se era possibile un piatto più piccolo, al momento dell’ordine mi è stato comunicato che non ci fosse nessun problema, il problema l’ho trovato al momento del conto visto che mi è stato fatto pagare a prezzo pieno. La qualità dei piatti nella media ma non può essere tollerata una così mancanza di rispetto verso il cliente.P.s: Attendo risposta

23/06/2025: An evening to forget. Terrible service: the waiter was in a hurry to get us to order and changed our table twice. Chaotic and confusing environment, with very loud music, you couldn't even talk. Questionable dishes, Romano's only name. The cod was poor, over-seasoned to cover the poor quality, we sent it back immediately. The time for the bill arrives.... The waitress yelling at the other waiter, I sense confusion and disorganization. After having contested the quality of the fish, the waiter, to demonstrate the phantom "quality", comes out with a plate full of defrosted and smelly cod. I'll just say that they made us pay for the dish. I would never go back.

19/06/2025: They don't send me the invoice. I call back and they tell me they'll send it to me and nothing happens. I call back again and nothing happens. REALLY APPROXIMATE AND CHEAP WAY OF WORKING
