Every time we go to Rugantino, we leave satisfied. The carbonara is spectacular, the caprese fresh and excellent. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff attentive and helpful. Authentic Roman cuisine in the heart of Milan.

Good experience at Rugantino! The place was very busy and buzzing with energy, which some people may find noisy. The food was authentic and delicious, especially the veal. Friendly service despite the crowd.

The atmosphere is truly beautiful — stylish, cozy, and very enjoyable to spend time in. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the setting. The dishes were quite average in taste, and the pasta was served cold. The portions were also rather small, especially compared to what you would expect in Italy. Communication was a bit challenging as well, it was quite difficult to speak in English, and there seemed to be some misunderstanding with the staff.

Everything was exceptional: the best Roman restaurant in Milan in my opinion. Of course, it's more expensive than fast food, but I think it's fair considering average prices in Milan, its quality, and its location.

The food took an extremely long time to arrive. And when it did, it was cold. It had probably been sitting out for a long time. The coffee arrived very late.

04/05/2026: Lunch on a weekday Monday, I knew it wouldn't be crowded; dinner is usually much busier. Spaghetti carbonara: cooked just right, generous sauce, crispy bacon. I would have liked more pecorino, but mea culpa, I could have asked for it. Courteous staff, fast service, clean environment.
