06/01/2025: Since the 80s with fury, more than a home-made/traditional cuisine it is an arranged home-style cuisine, but the prices are restaurant prices! Starter €28 for 2 people, a mix of vegetables and we didn't quite understand what else as it has an indefinable taste, I can't give a definition to the starter and I apologize for this! The choice of first courses is between orecchiette/spaghetti/cavatelli with sauce... the second courses are meat not cooked in the stove, but baked with half a potato! I get a starter for 2, a single cavatello with gratin sauce, a single second course consisting of 5 small pieces of sausage (of very poor quality) and half a new potato, 2 glasses of wine.....€68! Plus 2 hours at the table to eat this goodness! The only truly homely thing is the coffee served in a mocha. I'm amazed at how many locals can't wait to eat 2 orecchiette with sauce for €14! Maybe I'm the one who doesn't understand anything....

16/12/2024: Situata in piena zona centro, la trattoria è spartana ma accogliente. Mangiato antipasto "ridimensionato" con soli assaggi di cavolfiori fritti, di polpettine, di crocchette,di peperoni e di lampascioni.
Come primo un bis di orecchiette alle cime di rape e uno di pasta fresca con salsiccia e funghi cardoncelli. Porzioni adeguate, prezzo complessivo, data la bontà e qualità del cibo, ottimo.
Personale ai tavoli cortese.

14/10/2024: Attirati dalle recensioni, scegliamo questo locale. Cena nel vicolo, caratteristico. Ordiniamo un antipasto misto che lascia a desiderare sia per la qualità che per la quantità. Servire dei pomodorini lavati e messi in una ciotola è davvero assurdo. Ordiniamo due primi, le orecchiette al sugo immangiabili: orecchiette stracotte, con un mestolo di sugo buttato su. Gli strascinati buoni, il sugo di carne era migliore.
Il servizio ha qualche intoppo serio: ad ogni richiesta fatta al cameriere ci veniva risposto “devo chiedere”, indice di una scarsissima preparazione, anche se ha cercato di fare il suo lavoro per quanto meglio gli riuscisse.
Sinceramente non ci torneremo, nè avremmo il coraggio di consigliarlo.
Unica nota dolente del nostro weekend fuori porta!

07/01/2025: Fantastic....beautiful heart of Ceglie, 2 steps from the historic centre, Osteria del Chapter offers authentic homemade cuisine...Christmas lunch with 10 starters all at 0 km and strictly homemade, 2 excellent first courses and very good roasted meat.. ..5 star wine... the place is small but welcoming and the service is excellent with 2 very kind young waiters. Moderate price... really worth trying.
