06/12/2025: I stayed for work from June until yesterday. It's an excellent place for those who want to relax, nestled in the hills of Appignano, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! Modern rooms, excellent restaurant, friendly and attentive staff! Also recommended for a weekend getaway. Outdoor pool in the summer, gym and sauna year-round!

22/11/2025: Il Piccolo Teatro is a pleasant discovery in the heart of Ascoli Piceno's historic center. This intimate and carefully curated restaurant offers an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a quiet dinner or a special occasion. The cuisine is its strong point: traditional Marche dishes and more, tastefully reinterpreted, using quality ingredients. The dessert selection is good, thoughtful and original. The wine cellar is excellent. The owners are fantastic.

28/10/2025: "Review for the restaurant only" There was a time when you could eat divinely, abundantly, and at incredible prices. Today, inflation, social and geopolitical tensions have created confusion, a detachment from reality, and I don't know what else in the minds of some people. I can understand the price—€25 per person for a fixed fish menu, where you can't choose anything anyway—okay, I can understand the quantity, halved compared to ten years ago, but I can't understand the quality, which in my opinion has dropped significantly. Sure, I've been there recently and may have been unlucky, but overall I can say that in my opinion the quality isn't good enough. I'd give it five stars for the service and the ambiance, compared to the food (one star). The table is immediately generously filled with focaccia, bread, crostini, and pizza, all seemingly pleasant but which makes you wonder how to fill your stomach, because looking at the portions of the first and second courses, I can tell they're not up to standard (grams). I can't say whether the fish is frozen or not, and there are some delicious frozen ones out there, but I know it and I'll keep it to myself. I'll just say that the seafood scent wasn't there, and the fried food was overcooked and dark, meaning the oil might need changing. I'm fine with the price, I'm fine with the quantity, but at least it should be quality, otherwise I'll eat it. Thanks.

31/10/2025: I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We have walked past it multiple times and never booked a table and tonight we decided to give it a go. The waiter was very attentive, providing us with a menu in English and wine options. The menu was short but classically Italian and we were blown away by the quality of the food and depth of flavour, particularly considering the size of the kitchen. We ordered the solumi/charcuterie board (which we usually don't order as you can buy great cured meat in the local supermarkets) and the caponata to start. Both were fresh and absolutely delicious. For mains we had the ragú pasta and porchetta, which were both perfectly seasoned. The portion sizes weren't huge but for sharing between two people it was perfect. I will be returning again.

30/09/2025: A historic restaurant in Recanati, open for many years, yet always offering new dishes. Yesterday we tried the meatballs in tomato sauce, the rabbit with homemade giardiniera, and the hummus, and as usual, everything was exceptional. We'll definitely be back, hoping they'll soon bring back the stew and legendary goulash they used to serve at their previous restaurant.

01/12/2025: At Da Maria, the atmosphere is truly homey and the dishes are homemade. The service is fast, attentive, and welcoming. I tried an appetizer off the menu: the crostini with quail egg, pancetta, and truffle. Simply phenomenal! The tagliatelle with ragù are homemade. It's all paired with a perfect new wine recommended by the staff. And to finish, dessert, also homemade: a delicate and truly delicious crème brûlée. I'd go back a thousand times!

20/10/2025: Montelupone is a dive into beauty. The village square has an almost scandalous charm. It's always us. A Brancaleone army always on the prowl for trouble and food and wine thrills. Tonight we're having dinner at the Taverna dell'artista. The place is welcoming, and the young men and women running the service know the art of hospitality. They smile, and this leads to a more than positive review. The tagliata was exquisite, and the lamb was uniquely delicious. Generous portions, but I devoured everything. Clogs included. The tiramisu was fabulous, so good we all went to the kitchen and kissed each other. So to speak. Average prosecco, served correctly in its ice bucket. Discreet and enjoyable background music. What can I say? A pleasant evening. Wonderfully Italian.

24/11/2025: I liked: 1. the first courses, 2. the speed of the service, 3. the good value, 4. the generous portions. I didn't like: a) the €3 per person cover charge for paper tablecloths and napkins, b. the cramped rooms and service, c. the mixed roast (undercooked).

04/10/2025: After a light breakfast, we set off to explore the waterfalls around Sarnano. The route was beautiful, but unexpectedly longer and sometimes more difficult than we had anticipated. Fortunately, we eventually arrived at the Osteria, which was like an oasis in the desert. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and were able to join the queue at 2:15 p.m. We had a delicious lunch, choosing only the pasta, all freshly made by the owner's wife. The portions were so large and tasty that we couldn't manage another dish. In hindsight, we should have shared a pasta and then ordered grilled meat. We'll keep that in mind because we'll definitely be back! After delicious cappuccinos and our water bottles refilled by the owner, we were given directions for the rest of the route and set off again with big smiles on our faces. Thank you, it was wonderful!!
