Recommended by friends who live in the Marche region, we visited Montelupone and then had dinner at the Taverna. We were greeted warmly, and the entire staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a hot appetizer with traditional fried food, a glass of red wine, a very good Montepulciano, followed by focaccia and pizza...and a gentian liqueur...all truly delicious. The only downside was a few too many flies.

I ate there with some friends during the artichoke festival. I was delighted with the service, and the artichoke dishes were exquisite. This trattoria serves artichokes year-round, a typical local dish. Highly recommended.

Located in the historic center of Montelupone, the restaurant "La Taverna dell'Artista" immediately presents itself as a casual yet refined agriturismo. The menu offers a wide selection of meat, fish (especially cod), and pizzas. The dishes have delicate flavors and quality ingredients. Service is prompt and prompt. Prices are medium-high.
Update 8/05/2026: In addition to the usual menu, there was an additional one featuring dishes based on local artichokes, from appetizers to beautifully cooked desserts.

We visited this restaurant with friends (it's actually a house with several rooms) in the historic center of Montelupone. Their specialties are risottos, along with other typical dishes from the Marche region.
