04/03/2026: We only used the restaurant as a group of 15 for Sunday lunch.
The selection is sufficiently wide, including appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts. I highly recommend the pork shank (just the right size) and the goulash (truly top-notch). As for the first courses, since I haven't tried them, I can report very positive reviews. As for the appetizers, I have to give the mixed cold cuts a very high rating, while I think the cheeses could be improved, although they weren't absolutely bad (but that's my personal preference). I had a really good caramel pannacotta. In total, including six carafes of house wine and bottles of water, we spent about 30 euros, so absolutely reasonable prices.
Unfortunately, perhaps the large number of people at the table contributed to this; it was a bit difficult to get everyone served at once with their dishes, but the wait wasn't excessive. Reasonably, 15 people is a bit more difficult to manage.
There's plenty of parking available. Outside, at the entrance, there are benches and foosball tables.
I recommend this restaurant and would happily return if I were to pass through this area again.
30/01/2026: Positive first experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Meat-focused menu with traditional Friulian and other dishes. I recommend the shin, if available. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the ingredients. The only complaint is that the service is a bit slow, but considering the number of seats, that can happen on weekends. Recommended.

01/03/2026: After 15 years I returned and was very pleased to find this corner of serenity as it once was, a welcoming and warm environment, and as then, excellent cuisine. Highly recommended the ham, and the fridge. Quality wines. And the excellence, is made by the courtesy of those who serve you. Rating... 10 stars, very good!!!

08/03/2026: Very welcoming place, the food is good, and well-served. What I personally can't stand is the terrible acoustics in the room. There were 11 of us for dinner, and we couldn't communicate with those closest to us at the table.
22/02/2026: I must say, this place really surprised us with its dishes, the friendliness of the staff, and the discreet atmosphere. Each dish preserves the essence of every ingredient, cooked with artistry and passion. I've eaten dishes of this caliber in restaurants with Michelin stars, and this one undoubtedly deserves them.
You can sense the chef's great mastery.
The desserts are equally impressive.

03/04/2026: We had a reservation for 12:00 and arrived promptly, ordering immediately. Unfortunately, the first course arrived about 40 minutes later, despite it not requiring fresh preparation.
Meanwhile, customers who arrived after us were served, with the excuse that "workers had priority." This, if communicated earlier, would have allowed us to choose differently.
For the second course, we had to hurry, almost to the point of leaving.
We had high expectations for typical dishes like frico and charsons, but unfortunately, both were disappointing, both in taste and quality.
We still ate everything, more out of hunger than genuine satisfaction.
Overall, a negative experience: prices unjustified for the quality offered and poor service. We won't be returning.

25/01/2026: Friulian cuisine with a typical dish, a full fridge, excellent food. I recommend a group dinner to try everything. The only flaw is the first course, but the rest of the food is superb.

16/07/2025: Unglaublich traditionelles Essen, friulanische Hausmannskost eben. Sehr gelungenes Flair. Das Kellnerteam ist sehr jung & eingespielt.
Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant, wenn man authenisches Essen haben will.
11/07/2025: Sehr schönes Lokal mit gemütlichen Tischen unter den Lauben, direkt an einem kleinen Gewässer. Wir haben es wieder einmal genossen, nachdem wir bei fast jeden Italien-Aufenthalt vorbei kommen. Wie immer sehr gute Qualität und guter Preis, tolle Bedienung!

05/11/2025: A lovely venue with a view of the Friulian and Veneto plains. Outdoor seating is available in the summer. The pizzas are good. There's also a restaurant serving a few dishes. The staff is friendly and attentive.

07/04/2026: We ate really WELL.
The place is great for those who want some peace and quiet; the loudest noise is the birds chirping.
I had tortelloni stuffed with nettles and served with Montasio fondue, which were truly excellent. The tartare (a tartare) appetizer was truly meticulously prepared and served with a memorable whipped butter.
Impeccable service, always prompt and never intrusive, just the right amount of friendly.
The price was absolutely in line, perhaps even low, for the quality they offer.
It was a lovely discovery (our friends from Trieste took us there, a great meeting point halfway between our two stops), and I think it will definitely become one of our regular stops.
Well done!
PS) I didn't rate the rooms because we only ate there.

06/04/2026: We had a wonderful meal at this osteria in the heart of Udine's historic center.
The cicchetti are spectacular, especially the frico and the one with eggplant and burrata.
The first courses are divine and of excellent quality.
The only flaw is the slow and often inattentive service. It's definitely the only thing we need to work on and improve.
We'll definitely be back for more.
16/03/2026: Family dinner on Friday evening, a very welcoming and traditional place. Extensive menu featuring artichokes, asparagus, boiled meats, fish specialties, and more. Everything was delicious. A small misunderstanding with the waiter, which was promptly resolved by him. Good value for money. We'll definitely be back to try something else. I recommend this place.

07/04/2026: Total disorganization. We can understand the higher-than-usual attendance on a holiday, and we can understand the difficulty in finding extra staff, but the service we received (and paid handsomely) for lunch with snacks is truly unacceptable. The kitchen and staff were completely overwhelmed, with incorrect orders, forgetfulness, and extremely long waits for what was ordered. I understand if they had a vast menu, but not being able to manage a snack service when the selection is limited to two types of toast and two types of pizza-focaccia speaks volumes about the internal organization. The only positive note: the view of the main building of the villa. The only positive note: a tall, dark-haired young waiter who went out of his way to make up for the total chaos. Otherwise, it was a forgettable experience, including the final bill.
21/03/2026: Annual flower fair, in Villa Manin and... the coffee machine breaks down... this place never worked well...
