30/06/2025: Cold, tiny, rubbery portions, preheated. Inedible soy spaghetti, drowned in tasteless water… Very noisy and confusing environment Failed

24/06/2025: It's a shame because the place was beautiful and the waiters were very kind but that same day in the evening I felt sick and went to the bathroom quite a few times because I had a stomach ache.

28/08/2025: There are a lot of people on holidays, but it's okay on weekdays. The fried noodles come with cabbage and you can customize it with meat for 0.5€. The service will be slow if there are a lot of people, but it's acceptable.

17/08/2025: We went to this restaurant tonight after not coming here for years... let's start by saying there were only two people in the dining room on a Saturday night, too few to provide customer service. We ordered both baked and grilled ravioli, and I have to say they were really good. But when the "crispy" duck arrived, it was horrible! The fried food, which wasn't mentioned on the menu, seemed old, dark, and fried with oil that was definitely not new. The duck was dry and of a questionable gray color. Furthermore, "fried duck with Chinese herbs" meant half a lemon wedge... which really should have been removed immediately. Service was a bit slow, and the mixed-race guy was obsessed with taking the menu off the table repeatedly, even though they didn't serve menus since there was a whole stack in front of our table. Basically, if you don't know what to order, you have to be careful what you choose from the menu. Otherwise, the sautéed spaghetti with shrimp was good. The sweet and sour sauce was watered down and tasteless, except for the vinegar and water. I expected the kitchen to have guys who were consistent with the type of oriental food but not even a shadow... I don't think we'll return, a small and noisy place with tables too close together, I'm sorry to have re-evaluated it like this after years and above all to have re-evaluated the fried ice cream which is also questionable.

24/09/2025: I tried several Chinese dishes and noticed that the ingredients were fresh, everything tasted just right, and everything was cooked to perfection. The rice was very well prepared, and the vegetables retained that distinctive crunchiness. The atmosphere is pleasant, with good lighting and comfortable tables, perfect for a romantic getaway or a group of friends. The service was excellent, always attentive without being intrusive. I found it to be a balanced place in terms of quality and price, ideal for enjoying a varied and well-served meal.

20/09/2025: Great price, especially for lunch for an all-you-can-eat establishment. Very friendly and fast service, a plus: the ravioli and tempura are homemade and not frozen. The atmosphere is very clean and relatively quiet. Highly recommended. One of the best sushi places in Messina.

15/09/2025: This is already my third time eating at Shangai Sushi & Fusion. I've always had great food. Last time, the only problem was the rice. It was overcooked and not firm enough. As soon as I picked up the uramaki, they all fell apart and fell apart. I hope it was just a problem from the other night, because it would be a shame if the sushi wasn't the same as other times. I wanted to tell the waiters, but I didn't want to offend the kitchen staff. Anyway, aside from the rice, the quality was excellent, as always. The staff were very kind and helpful, especially the girl who seated us. Thank you.

14/08/2025: One of Catania's historic Chinese restaurants, now in its second generation, has lost the appeal its parents once gave it, but it's still a point of reference for international ethnic dining. Under new management, the appeal isn't the same, although the staff's courtesy is admirable. They still haven't figured out how to time the courses. In my case, my first course and my guest's second course arrived at the same time, and the guest's first course arrived shortly after. We had a bit of a wait for my second course, which might have been reasonable if the other course hadn't gone cold in the meantime.

21/07/2025: We've been there three times, everything is fresh, and the service is very friendly. The place is off the beaten track, but it doesn't look anything special. Large portions, and the agropicante soup is excellent. I recommend it.

14/08/2025: I often go to sushi restaurants in northern Italy. First time in Agrigento. Good quality food. Service doesn't live up to the excellent location. Dishes weren't brought because they weren't available, but this wasn't mentioned when ordering. Dishes were forgotten and only brought when reported. One dish was brought almost after I'd paid. The waiters were friendly, though. Perhaps a lack of communication between the departments? A positive experience overall.

07/09/2025: The staff were very kind and helpful. I've been to at least 20 sushi restaurants in my life, but this is undoubtedly one of the best. There's a variety, and we felt welcomed. The area was well-lit and very beautiful. The location was also beautifully decorated with adorable Chinese motifs and much more. Highly recommended ❤️❤️

14/09/2025: Says it closes at 14:30 but got there at 14:10 and the lazy workers were smoking outside saying it’s closed already.

04/10/2025: The welcome was zero; we sat down and they set our table an hour later! I called the staff to ask questions, and they didn't even look at me... The food was decent, but the desserts were lousy, frozen, hard, and tasted stale to say the least. An unpleasant experience!

04/10/2025: There were four of us, and we ate well. The service was excellent and fast, and in no time at all, our table was full of dishes immediately after ordering. The raw fish is their trump card: oysters, salmon, sea bass, red shrimp, and tuna. All very good, no problems after dinner. I recommend this place to all raw fish lovers, especially because there are no limits. 🤑🤑🤑

13/09/2025: One star is too much, too bad there's no zero-star option. Five of us went this week for my birthday, to try it out and with the prospect of returning if we enjoyed it. The dishes (all of them) were tasteless or awful, the fried foods were soggy and rubbery, and the Chinese bread tasted like raw breadcrumbs. Of the various dishes, the only edible ones were some Chinese noodles with vegetables and a whole fish au gratin. By the end of the evening and for the next two days, five of us had terrible stomach aches... All five of us!!! This had never happened, not even in the worst places we've ever been. The only Chinese person inside the restaurant is perhaps the cashier; the dishes are prepared by staff who have no idea what Chinese cuisine is (or even Italian cuisine), in an open kitchen, where every so often someone eats and drinks standing up and in full view of the customers. I looked at the reviews beforehand, and while they aren't particularly high, there are some good ones, and I honestly don't know what those people who gave positive reviews are used to eating. As far as I'm concerned, this was the worst experience of all and one I absolutely must not repeat!

03/09/2025: I have to say I ate very well. The only advice I'd give is to avoid fried food. It'll leave a bad taste in your stomach.

12/09/2025: Chan is now a firm favourite, and I've lost count of how many times I've eaten there. I've been to many sushi restaurants, but none satisfy me 100% like Chan. The quality of the food is excellent, the menu is extensive and varied, and the wait times are just right (obviously, on busier days, service slows down a bit, as is the case with any restaurant, because you always have to remember that there are people behind it all, not robots, something that many people overlook). The location is very pretty, and one thing I particularly love is the soft lighting, which helps create a relaxing atmosphere; the restaurant is also quite large (you can also sit at the outdoor tables). I can only say that I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know; in fact, I've brought family, relatives, and friends, and everyone has always been satisfied. Finally, just yesterday I tried a home-delivered box for the first time, and I have to say the whole family was completely satisfied (what I particularly appreciated was the generous amount of soy sauce they put inside the box, and I can assure you that's not a given). Try it and believe it.

08/10/2025: We did the all you can eat, and we ate more or less all we could. The sushi was great, other selections of meat not so much. Overall a fine value for the money. Before we left we asked for a cup of hot water. The owner refused to engage with me and instead ushered over the timid young server to assist. She produced a bottle of water to sell us to which we refused, simply wanting a cup of hot water. The server then looked to the owner for guidance in this dark sea of uncertainty and found the answer betwixt indecipherable shouts. She regrettably informed us that they had in fact run out of or refused to provide us hot water. What a pity that such an otherwise instagrammable restaurant should fall prey to the scarcity of so basic a cooking component.

03/10/2025: We went to eat there one night to try it out after the negative reviews. As soon as you walk in, there's a strange smell. The restaurant is tiny. The staff is more dead than alive, not even a smile. The food seems tasteless and even made us sick, it tastes like spoiled fish. Discharged for several days. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

26/09/2025: I personally bought a €20 box with 42 items (40 + can of Coke and a fortune cookie) and I have to say it wasn't bad, but it could have been a little more. (For takeout) They provide soy sauce, wasabi, ginger, and chopsticks. The food is good but not exceptional. The place is a bit small compared to others in the area...
