15/08/2024: We had an unforgettable dinner with exceptional food, some of which was grown in the owner's garden. The lasagna was a standout—highly recommended. The owner was incredibly personable, providing us with excellent service and helpful advice for a hike we were planning. He also shared fascinating stories about the dishes we enjoyed. A special mention to Chico, the legendary 22-year-old dog. RIP.
07/08/2024: Roman greetings and a toast to Mussolini. A place of fascists. To be avoided.

12/08/2024: Siamo stati subito attratti dalla simpatia del signor Francesco, il miglior “butta dentro “ mai incontrato!
Una volta a tavola, la qualità del menu si è confermata all’altezza delle descrizioni.
Servizio molto cortese e rapido, con attenzione ai dettagli (ciotola per il cane e salviette peofumate calde per lavarsi le mani dopo il pesce).

04/08/2024: Úžasné jídlo, skvělá atmosféra a velmi osobní přístup. Navštívili jsme restauraci dvakrát, jednou jsme jedli jen ryby, druhý den jsme si dali těstoviny a jehněčí. Lepší maso jsem snad nejedla. Cena odpovídá. Velký zážitek ❤️

30/08/2024: Restaurant in the center of Amalfi, I went for dinner with my partner.
Impeccable service, very kind staff and sublime food, excellent fish first courses and mixed grill. The dessert is also excellent! Definitely worth trying again!
29/08/2024: Food was very good although the portion was smaller than expected. Prices are reasonable considering the location of the restaurant. But the staff was not very kind.

12/01/2024: I vari gusti di cuoppi, di terra, mare e vegetariani la fanno da padrona, tutti preparati in continuazione all'affollata vetrina sulla strada. Prezzi medi sui 10 EUR.
Poi però entrando nel locale si scopre che preparano anche altri piatti, primi, secondi e anche prodotti da acquistare.
28/10/2023: Spotted the crowds round here so went to investigate - very glad I did! The queue to pay moved very quickly and then I handed my ticket over to get my food straight away. There is a good choice of fish and seafood options, some with chips. I opted for the cuoppo Amalfi - two sorts of squid, prawns and a few chips and what I think were potato balls of some sort. Anyway, it was fresh and delicious - a perfect quick lunch on the go!

27/08/2024: Don’t come here - terrible experience. Average food. Owners are very sneaky people who charged us extra 15euro just for service charges added to our bill. It just said ‘BAR’ on the bill and we didn’t question it. We just had 1 pizza, 1 plain small salad, 1 beer and 1l mineral water and they charged us 48Euro. We couldn’t believe it when the bill came and we paid it, totally confused what was extra 15euro added to our bill (BAR). They are very sneaky people and our worst experience in Amalfi. Don’t come here!! Please!! Thanks x
10/08/2024: During our visit, we had an unsettling experience with an older man who appeared to be the owner or manager. His behavior was extremely confrontational when we decided to leave without ordering, to the point where we felt genuinely threatened. Having traveled extensively, I’ve never encountered such unprofessional conduct. Unfortunately, a younger staff member also mirrored this negative behavior, which was disappointing.
The atmosphere was uncomfortable, and we noticed an issue with flies in the restaurant. The menu seemed overpriced, and the dessert we felt literally terrorized to buy was mediocre. Based on our experience and similar reviews, I would not go back.

23/06/2024: This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in any restaurant! Bad service, 2 basic sandwiches and 2 drinks €69!! I took a napkin and the then charged me €3 extra for an additional cover!!
Then the started being rude and sticking up middle fingers to me, when I took a photo the waitress knocked my €1000 iPhone out of my hand! Avoid avoid! RIP off, tourist trap with angry servants!
18/06/2024: I hesitate to write this review, because I don't want to give away such a lovely place, but I have to give credit where credit is due. The food here was absolutely delicious. We had the caprese, the pistachio and mozzarella focaccia, and the lemon gnocchi. We loved the food. It was fresh, vibrant, and flavorful.

13/08/2024: We stopped at this place which seemed very welcoming. It's a small but well-stocked place. The lady, with passion and a smile, gave us lots of information and advice for preparing a dinner at home for two, offering us various tastings of local products, all phenomenal, fresh and tasty. The price is absolutely adequate, if not cheap, considering that we are in the center of Amalfi. It will absolutely be my point of reference for the next few times.
25/05/2024: As sandwich lovers we have to say that this was the best sandwich of our lives. Huge and everything smelled fresh, the tomato, the pesto, the oil, the cheeses and the cold cuts. Don't go to Amalfi if you're not going to eat these sandwiches. Oh and the gentleman who owns it is very kind and helpful. It helped me a lot to choose mainly the cold meats that I was afraid of because of pregnancy. Thank you!!

19/08/2024: To avoid. The burrata is served with a single cherry tomato, for €15. The lasagna only has two layers, still for €15. And the caps are already unscrewed when the bottles of “mineral” water are brought to the table: it’s tap water.
18/08/2024: Unfriendly staff, the owner after entering (with a fork reservation) claimed that the reservation had been canceled (which was false). Then he apologised. But you can't act like that

16/08/2024: A place to absolutely avoid.. had a fried dish for two people on the waiter's recommendation but it was really small in terms of portion. Two cuoppi with octopus and inedible potatoes. Reheated and tasteless food. Arrogant and rude owner never again. A tourist trap. Don't go there.

24/08/2024: Three Margerita Pizzas were just ok , better than supermarket but not by much . Mine was really blackened , I had to tear a lot of it off , but the other two were better . Service was alright but we were the only ones in there at 1pm so I should hope so .
12/08/2024: La mejor comida de toda la Costa Amalfitana, Gabrielle nos trató genial y la comida exquisita, recomendado 100%. Todo perfecto.

29/07/2024: We paid €30 for two plastic beakers of frozen yogurt with fruit. I was horrified and ready to leave the cups on the counter and walk out but my husband had already paid the bill. There was a price list displayed but it was in small print on the back wall. I couldn’t read it properly even with my glasses.
Just to put this into context, I could have bought a dress for less than the cost of one pot from the shop next door and earlier in the afternoon I had bought a sun hat for €9. I know this Amalfi and prices are high but this is ridiculous!
As I write this review I now see that others have had a similar experience. I don’t like to write negative reviews but I don’t like being ‘ripped off’ either. I hope others read the reviews, and the price list, before visiting the shop.
28/07/2024: This place is a complete ripoff. We ordered an ice cream without asking the price (how much could an ice cream be?) and then were told it would be 15 euros for one. Other places charge less. Not at all worth it.
