Everyone was walking around eating lemon sorbet, so I thought, "Wow, the visuals are insane," and bought some to try. The owner was singing while serving it, which was so funny lol. He even sang well. The taste was really, really sour, but it was the kind of sourness that makes you crave more the more you eat it. It was so, so delicious. My wife loved it so much that she even dug out the inside of the lemon container. I can't forget the lemon sorbet in Amalfi...

We visited Royal Gelato in Amalfi and ordered the lemon sorbet served in a lemon, which cost €7 each. It looked absolutely stunning and was one of the most eye-catching desserts we had during our trip. The flavor was good and refreshing, although not exceptional. My main disappointment was the portion size, which felt quite small considering the price.
One of the biggest negatives was the additional €2 per person charge simply to sit inside the café. Personally, I don't consider this to be a customer-friendly or professional policy, especially when you've already purchased food.
On the positive side, the indoor seating area is spacious and comfortable, particularly compared to many other cafés and gelato shops in Amalfi, where seating is often very limited.
The staff were polite enough, but they did not come across as particularly welcoming or enthusiastic when serving tourists, and communication was fairly limited.
Overall, it was a bittersweet experience. The presentation and the setting were enjoyable, but the high prices, small portion, and extra seating charge prevented it from being a place I would be eager to visit again.

I was skeptical about this ice cream because I'm not a fan of foods containing lemon. The uniqueness of this sorbet lies in the variety of lemons used, which are characterized by their mildness and delicacy. The sorbet doesn't have a specific bitterness, but is slightly sweet. It's worth trying this product when visiting the Amalfi Coast. The price might be off-putting, as a single takeaway portion costs €10. Despite long lines, service is efficient. I recommend it.

We visited this wonderful family-owned and operated gelato shop with our daughter in 2024 and returned again in 2026. The experience was just as amazing the second time around.
The entire family is incredibly welcoming and kind. The father prepared our gelato, and Enso, the son, was exceptionally friendly and thoughtful. I showed him a photo of my daughter that we had taken there in 2024 and explained that we had come back specifically to order the same gelato and recreate the picture as a special "then and now" memory. He was genuinely happy to help and made the experience even more memorable.
The gelato was absolutely delicious—the best we had anywhere in Italy. The quality, service, and value for the money are outstanding.
Thank you, Enso, and the entire family, for your warm hospitality and for helping us create such wonderful memories. We look forward to visiting again!

Delicious lemon sorbet. Best on the main strip of Amalfi in my opinion.
