The coffee is truly excellent, and there's a wide variety of pastries: artisanal croissants, vegan and gluten-free croissants, Lecce brioche, pasticci, and the unmissable Castiglione brioche, a Castellammare institution. The café has two internal rooms, perfect for enjoying a leisurely breakfast. In addition to the excellent coffee, the cappuccinos are also noteworthy, served both hot and cold. One of its strong points is the hospitality: owners Nando and Nello, along with the rest of the team, always make you feel at home. Prices are average: coffee and croissants cost €2.40, with cappuccinos around €3. Excellent value, especially considering you can order at the table for a small surcharge. The home delivery service is also highly appreciated, prompt and attentive, with unique packaging: perfect for surprising loved ones with breakfast at home. And the real added value: even for a simple €1.20 coffee, you can pay by credit card or even American Express. This is a sign of exceptional customer service, truly deserving of special praise. 16/08/2025: I ordered one doppio cappuccino and one regular cappuccino. Unfortunately, my order was misunderstood, and I was brought one doppio espresso and two cappuccinos instead. Both the incorrect order and the flavor of the coffee, which was far below my expectations, left me disappointed.

04/06/2026: Absolutely NOT. Too bad you can't give 0 stars because it's deserved. The food is terrible. I've been there 2/3 times and each time we found a flaw in the food. We told the staff and they even blamed us. The quality of the fish is terrible. The staff also looks at you askance. For me, that's a BIG NO.

09/05/2026: I was passing by and stopped for a coffee. They had doughnuts in the window. I thought I'd get one. The guy filled it with chocolate for me. It was in the lab for 5 minutes. When I finished eating it, it was hard and looked anything but fresh. He must have swapped it for one from the day before. I don't recommend it. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, both from the employees and the cashier.

02/05/2026: Craving pizza, but it went to bed without dinner! I ordered a takeout pizza, a Margherita, specifying only grilled zucchini. I received a pizza with zucchini topped with lots of oil, garlic, and parsley, without even being informed or even warned!! The smell of garlic saved me from eating it.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the owner was delightful and pleasant. In addition to the quality of the food, I found the place to be well-maintained. 09/05/2026: It's a nice place located in the outskirts of the city, not too visible but well-maintained. It's a place I've never been to, but as far as organizing an online program with a menu list for on-site reservations and home delivery is concerned, it's a good performance. Today, March 25, 2026, at 9:30 PM, the home delivery of a half-meter pizza was very impressive, especially with the quality of the ingredients, which contrast with each other in flavor and aroma, allowing you to sense the aftertaste of each product from the soft dough, to the masterful cooking of the pizza chef. Congratulations again from Salvatore, and best regards to all the staff.

30/08/2025: It's a welcoming place, the food is excellent and plentiful, the service is fast. I was there the other night with friends, I ate incredibly fresh raw fish, a very tender roast 🍖 and the pizza 🍕 c'è posto per te was truly delicious. I'll definitely be back.

16/12/2025: The place is very large, the decor a bit run-down. It has a shabby feel, perhaps because of the low season. I ordered an octopus salad, a bit cold but not bad, but it was sparse; there was no celery, a few cherry tomatoes, nothing. Then came the scampi linguine, which was neither praise nor infamy, and a pre-packaged sorbet. Beautiful plating isn't enough if quality doesn't support the whole! Overall, I didn't have a bad meal, but the service was truly lacking and unprofessional. The quality-price ratio was very poor: €50 for a beer, an appetizer, and a first course; €6 for a commercial sorbet that costs less than a euro at the supermarket. And it doesn't end there: the bill was given on a slip of paper with no fiscal value, without a receipt. I don't recommend it.

14/12/2025: Perfect Japanese inn. The food is excellent, as is the attention to detail. The interior is very comfortable. It would deserve 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that most of the dishes are served in disposable containers, which doesn't match the interior design and location of the restaurant. The use of such containers for the self-service outdoor seating is understandable. Serving tea in ordinary water glasses isn't the best either: the result is a boiling glass that's impossible to drink. [Update] After the restaurant's response (because that's the name it deserves), I've decided to change my rating from 4 to 5 stars. The restaurant owner's observations are correct, and it's right to change the review.

29/05/2026: We chose Gran Cafè Napoli 1850 for our breakfast. Despite being busy, the staff were very friendly. The Nutella cornetti were superb. The orange juice was freshly squeezed, and the cappuccino was just like you'd get in Italy.

24/05/2026: Really poor service here. Prioritise locals over tourists. Two, so called, waiters doing everything but serving. One spent most of the time we were here for some drinks messaging on his phone. Took an age to order our first round. For our attempted second round of drinks he took my wife's order and then walked off saying 'one minute' before I could give him mine. Went to another table answered a query of the couple there and walked past us saying 'one minute'. Eventually came back and we cancelled my wife's drink, paid and left. I simply cannot recommend here on the basis of our experience.

And the food? Honestly, shocking. The pizzas were some of the worst we've ever eaten, anywhere. The dough was so hard it felt like chewing gum, the toppings were either burned or almost nonexistent, and the only thing they didn't skimp on was the cheese. Terrible service, even worse food, and zero accountability. There are so many great places to eat in Italy: this isn't one of them. Avoid at all costs. English: One of the worst dining experiences we've had in Italy. We were told the restaurant was “full,” while staring at an empty table.
