23/09/2024: VESEVIUS is a small but modern structure set on the promontory of Castellammare which looks out over the Gulf of Naples thus offering a splendid panorama from its terrace, unfortunately only ruined by the Fincantieri shipyard below. Service staff with discreet professionalism and appreciable courtesy. The courses offered à la carte, however, are barely sufficient: we, introduced to the taste by a small plate of zeppoline offered by the house, initially choose a seafood appetizer and two different risottos as a first course. The impact is not extraordinary: products and raw materials appear only acceptable; the dishes consequently, in our singular experience, lacking any peculiar and promised flavor and never capable of proliferating taste emotions and which, therefore, do not invite an encore, much less a continuation, despite a decent execution with the "Risotto with turbot and pistachio". However, the chef's choice is disruptive, presenting a "fisherman's risotto" filled with sauce and cherry tomatoes, thus debasing, as well as tradition, every flavor and aftertaste of the sea, even more so with an unacceptable and excessive use of salt which leaves the writer's palate undaunted, inhibiting any further action. The wine list speaks for itself: just one glass of white is enough to discover its Discountian origins! Service Notes: mise en place limited to napkin and cutlery rest; access from the car park below is difficult and unpopular with those who fear "climbing"; prices not very low especially in relation to the overall offer; P.S. At the reception they hold the car keys: perhaps they fear that someone will escape prematurely? Stuff you wouldn't believe!

22/09/2024: Quality of food good, average I'd say for being in the south! Not enough fish and too much oil as a condiment, I would do the opposite since we are talking about fish cuisine. Perfect fried! When paying, they didn't respect the fork discount percentage perfectly, in fact they didn't give me the receipt with the related discounts... It doesn't matter, but more professionalism is needed!

The aperitifs are tasty and varied, with very fresh appetizers and original combinations. But the real surprise are the aperitifs: abundant dishes rich in flavour, prepared with high quality ingredients. Each dish is a small explosion of taste, perfect for those who love to eat well without giving up freshness. If you love sandwiches, you can't miss trying those from Bliss: super tasty and prepared with fresh and genuine ingredients. The fillings are original and delicious, and the bread is always soft and tasty. Every bite is a real treat! There is a vast selection of drinks, from well-prepared cocktails to fresh drinks, to best accompany your meal.

19/04/2025: We were there tonight and I have to say it was truly a disappointment. For years now, when we come to Naples on holiday, we have always organized a stop in Castellammare to come and taste the pizza cone, but this time we were disappointed, sausage inside the pizza cone no longer good...it stunk!!!, aubergines in the parmigiana pizza cone that didn't taste like anything. Absolute disappointment... I don't know what has changed in the last year but it has gotten much worse... Stop with a pizza cone!! 👎👎For me it's no!!

17/05/2025: Nice view, clear water but all rough rock, not natural but brought in and 6 euro to park + 15 euro/person to sit down!! Don't know about others in the area but this seems pretty expensive for an unnatural experience! There are restrooms and changing areas, which is nice and the parking across the street has a tunnel under the road so you don't have to cross the busy street. Volcano and City view is nice and water is clear!

19/04/2025: We were stranded in this town for a couple of hours and this cafe was extremely hospitable. We of course purchased food and coffee here and it was all really good. But it was the hospitality that set them apart. Thank you!

20/11/2024: Terrible experience! I was one of their customers, I bought pastry boxes several times for important dinners. So, they weren't fresh, but who knows how many days ago... thus making a terrible impression on my guests. What's more, I happened to stop by them for a coffee and a brioche. I ask to pay by card, because at that moment I didn't have cash with me. The elderly lady tells me that I should have warned her before that I wanted to pay by card. But first, when will you apologize? You tell me the total, I'll tell you if I want to pay by card or cash. How much in advance should I have notified? As soon as I set foot in the shop? Next, he calls his daughter to make me pay by card. The daughter, she tells me. Look, it's also written here, card payments must be notified in advance. But in your opinion, I come to grab a quick coffee and start reading all your instructions? Absurd, I'll never come again. Both for the poor quality and for your rude behavior. Very kind waiters and also the husband, a very good person. For the rest, I would give zero stars.

25/04/2025: Ottimo locale per gustare la cucina cilentana. Abbiamo soggiornato tre giorni a Castellammare e per tre sere abbiamo cenato qui, mangiando carne, pesce e pizza, primi e secondi. Tutto cucinato divinamente. Abbiamo apprezzato l'impiattamento e la generosità delle portate. Tempi veloci nonostante l'elevato numero di persone nel locale, servizio puntuale e accogliente. Media qualità-prezzo ottima, Consigliatissimo!

24/03/2025: Tutto nella media, ci vorrebbe maggiore attenzione nella preparazione dei cibi, piatti senza se e senza ma, manca di gusto. Abbiamo mangiato tante cose ma per gli scialatielli alle vongole posso dire non sapevano di nulla, sciapi e senza gusto. Tagliata dura da mangiare. Servizio cortese ed attento, un suggerimento maggiore cura nella scelta delle materie prime e di come si prepara. Prezzi contenuti.
