The sunset view from San Domenico is simply breathtaking—one of those views that makes you pause for a moment before ordering, because you realize you're looking at something rare. That alone would be worth the visit. But the cuisine is no exception: the gnocchi with gurnard, snapper, strawberries, and chili pepper are an extraordinary dish—creativity, technique, and Calabrian terroir blend impeccably. Sweet, seafood, spicy. A balance few manage to achieve. The service is top-notch, attentive, and never intrusive. Special mention to Maria Concetta, whose professionalism and warmth made the evening even more enjoyable—the kind of welcome that makes you feel like a guest, not a customer. San Domenico plays in Serie A. One of the best restaurants on the Calabrian coast, without a doubt.

27/06/2026: San Domenico is in a league of its own. The cuisine is fantastic, the service more than perfect. The location is a dream.

29/07/2026: We were pretty jetlagged still, and really didn't know what time it was, and happened to go just before the World Cup final started. Probably because of this, we had the pleasure of having the whole place to ourselves for the entire meal, and consequently had a personal waiter & private chef! Both were excellent at what they did, and we were served an amazing seafood feast that I am jealous of myself for having. It was a very enjoyable evening.

05/08/2026: We dined at this beautiful restaurant directly overlooking the Pizzo seafront. A historic building that exudes emotion even inside. A truly positive experience, the staff were truly competent and attentive, but what matters most, beyond "appearance," are the dishes. The fish was prepared beautifully! The fried octopus or the red shrimp tartare are highly recommended. As for the first courses, the seafood pasta or the paccheri with scampi are truly delicious. The tuna with Tropea onions is exceptional. A journey worth taking and losing yourself in.

03/08/2026: A very disappointing lunch, with somewhat lacking service. The dishes didn't have a great seafood flavor and the plating was sloppy. A restaurant reminiscent of a mass-market restaurant, a bit cheap.

21/08/2026: I'm not from the area. It's a new opening compared to where I remembered. They moved from the small central square where parking was difficult. A courageous business decision, and they did well because the products are excellent. Modern and inviting. The truffles are spectacular.

18/08/2026: The waiters are welcoming, friendly, and truly warm. The dishes are generous, authentic, and rooted in tradition. I've never eaten pasta like this! The carbonara is simply delicious: creamy, generous, with crispy bacon, cooked to perfection. The Tonno alla Pizzitana is excellent, an original and unique recipe. All the pasta dishes are a must-try. It's impossible to pass through Pizzo without stopping at this restaurant! And, what's more, the Spritzes are incredibly strong. A must-try, both for the food and for the warmth, friendliness, and kindness of the waiters.

21/07/2026: 25€ 1 parasol + 2 deckchairs We were there for 3 hours. I think it's a bit excessive. We ordered spaghetti Bolognese at the restaurant, which they brought out was made with tagliatelle tomato sauce and a little minced meat.
