14/03/2024: Quick lunch with some friends before returning to the North. Very good fish starter and equally good first courses. Nice staff but can improve. Stunning location. In summer, eating outside must be wonderful, but even from inside you can breathe the sea (right outside the window)

23/10/2023: Place is raw but packed. People were waiting outside for a table. One chef one barman one waiter… they do miracles. The sandwiches were so fresh and tasty. Il negroni perfetto. Don’t expect sir and madame but it was great.

21/10/2023: Amazing place. The owner in his standing aside to watch/listen is the best. Whoever manages the room is also very good. He knows his stuff. As for the dishes, you can't go wrong. Quality/price at the highest. Well done.

10/03/2024: Tranquillità e gusto, un locale su misura per famiglie con ragazzi molto gentili ai tavole e velocissimi. Pizza e piatti a base di pesce molto buoni, dolci e dessert super!

28/12/2023: Materia prima di alta qualità, piatti molto curati, prodotto fresco e a km 0 ambiente piacevolissimo e familiare ma sopratutto l'accoglienza,la gentilezza e la generosità di Rocco il proprietario ed Antonio che ci ha seguito non ha eguali. Vale la pena fargli visita solo per godere della loro ospitalità. Grazie ragazzi ci rivedremo prestissimo!!

28/12/2023: Siamo stati a cena in questo tipico ristorante di Scilla. Materie prime e cucina superlative, dagli antipasti al dolce. Per non parlare poi della accoglienza e gentilezza di Rocco e Antonio . Se si è a Scilla è un posto da non perdere!!!

06/09/2023: Andiamo a cena in questo ristorante che crede di essere molto chic ma a me sa tanto di principe decaduto! Tavolino piccolo attaccato a una colonna e locale praticamente vuoto. Una coppia arriva dopo di noi e viene fatta accomodare a un tavolo rotondo grande dove vengono tolti i piatti in eccesso. Già lì rimango male perché avevo chiesto un tavolo vicino alle finestre e mi era stato risposto :"sono per più persone" Ma il locale era vuoto! Vuoto anche quando siamo usciti. Il peggio arriva al momento di ordinare... Sulla carta è presente 1/2 di vino della casa, scegliamo quello perché la sera prima, in un altro ristorante,una bottiglia da 20€ l'abbiamo lasciata a metà. Un antipasto per me è una frittura con patatine per mio marito. Ecco ho avuto la netta sensazione che a quel punto siamo stati giudicati persone che non possono permettersi un ristorante a quel livello. Ma quale livello???? L'antipasto un piatto triste e vecchio con pochi assaggini miseri e freddi, la frittura buona (ha detto mio marito) le patatine si sono perse e ho dovuto sollecitare, forse pensavano non potessimo pagarle! Al momento del dolce, scelta su tre opzioni, diciamo tiramisù e ci viene chiesto se ne vogliamo uno in due😳😳😳😳😳. Ecco qui ho avuto la conferma che la mia non era solo una impressione!!!! Al momento di pagare il conto 70€ lascio 10 € di mancia. Forse non usa più lasciare la mancia ma per un servizio così perfetto era il minimo!! Spero perlomeno abbiano capito.

18/12/2023: Pranzo in cambusa,. Essendo inverno è con il mare increspato, la terrazzina esterna è rimossa, per cui si può pranzare tranquillamente all'interno, in un ambiente speciale. Il mio tavolo ha una finestrella con vista mare da sogno.. Come se fossimo all'interno di un nave. Si sente addirittura il rumore delle onde che si infrangono sul davanzale in pietra. Involtini di spatola strepitosi, parmigiana spada e melanzane eccellente. Polipo arrosto con pure delicatissimo. Ottima lista dei vini. Servizio eccellente. Cibo di gran fattura dive si sente la freschezza e l'odore dello splendido specchio di mare della chianalea.prezzi adeguati.

16/12/2023: Location incantevole sull'acqua, fra il rumore delle onde e i versi dei gabbiani. Personale gentilissimo e attento, pesce fresco, cucinato con sapore e delicatezza. Abbiamo preso un ottimo trancio di pesce spada, superbi involtini di spatola.

20/03/2024: I gave the second star simply for the kindness of the waitress and the owner... And it's as if I had said everything... Spartan location, which harks back to the glories of years gone by, those made of neon lights, aquariums with live lobsters (those that are still alive🤦🏻), and corridors with photos of VIPs that leave their memories... I'll start by saying that the bathrooms are clean and fragrant, small but colored with the blue of the sea that can be seen from the table on the veranda where they seat you... you are practically on the seafront road a few steps from the shore with the promontory and the castle of Scilla, and for this reason, the expectations could be positive (high would be a big word)... mixed starter where the best thing, because it is fried well, is the "pitticella" of baby or whitebait or ice fish, whatever you want , and the bruschetta with spicy marinated anchovies... a small piece of aubergine parmigianina which must have been their interpretation because, otherwise it cannot be explained as it was not received, as were the two baby arancini, 🤦🏻.. Moving on to the first courses, on the advice of the owner who kindly showed me the ingredients of the gnocchi al cartoccio, I wanted to "approach" this feared historical delicacy according to him (it seems they have been making it for thirty years 🤦🏻)... I'll just summarize that I ate all the fish on the rocks, deliberately leaving the gnocchi because they were a "lead" that I struggled to digest🤦🏻🤦🏻 We ordered the linguine with swordfish....🤔🤔🤔 Which I think has never seen the kitchen because I don't think it was swordfish🤦🏻I prefer to stay and overlook this Hamlet-like doubt...we deliberately preferred not to end with dessert and pay. .. Certain realities, in the infamous 2024, the millennium of artificial intelligence and social media, need to review their beliefs, their menus and potential, and thus decide which path to take, whether that of restoration and innovation or that of closure.
