08/09/2025: A welcoming place with a sea view that alone is worth the visit. But the real surprise was the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. We ordered an appetizer and a pizza: everything was truly excellent, but the pizza was a revelation. In all my years, I've never eaten anything so good: crispy, light, and super digestible. The service was impeccable, with kind and helpful staff who made you feel at home. The prices were very fair for such high quality. We'll definitely be back! Kudos to the entire staff!

15/08/2025: Unspeakable, they don't take anything away, they make mistakes, burnt food, slow service with no tomorrow. But above all, after an endless service, THEY TURN OFF THE AIR CONDITIONING to send you away. Yes, in my exact words: We have to close.

29/12/2025: Christmas 2025. Excellent and beautiful restaurant overlooking the sea with a stunning view. Lunch with excellent dishes, rich in flavor with unusual ingredients, excellent service too. In conclusion, this is a place I absolutely recommend to Le Castella. We will definitely be back. Well done!

21/10/2025: A pizzeria for a quick lunch, with chairs and tables for sitting and eating. The service is friendly and fast. The pizza isn't my favorite, but it's still decent, and I give it a 5 out of 10.

07/04/2026: The worst experience in 46 years of my life. Totally disgusting, we left EVERYTHING, the appetizer was disgusting, we don't even know what was on our plate, believe me, rubbish, really stuff even a dog would leave behind, total disgusting, seafood first courses cooked like DISGUSTING and left on our plate, the pasta was washed-out and disjointed, probably reheated, and the wines offered were worse than tavernello. Despite everything, the owner had the nerve to charge us 90 euros. All this, for lunch today, Tuesday, April 7, 2026. I strongly advise against wasting money at these scoundrels. Luckily, we found an open bar on highway 106 and they made us 3 sandwiches. This is the pure truth. SHAME ON YOU, you're the bane of the restaurant industry in Calabria, I hope tourists don't even come near this place. Close it down, make a better impression.

19/02/2026: Invited by friends, it had been many years since I'd been here to Ancora. What can I say? It's always excellent, fresh fish, beautiful dining room with soft colors, all overlooking the sea. Dining here is truly enjoyable, especially on a sunny day. Thanks to Pino for recommending us, and especially thanks to Simone for his hospitality. I recommend it for its quality, courtesy, and good price. But above all, they make you feel at home.

The dough is light, well-leavened, and highly digestible, with perfect cooking that creates the perfect crispy crust. The ingredients are fresh and high-quality, and you can taste it in every bite. The staff is always friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. Service is fast and attentive, even at peak times. A place definitely worth recommending and one you'll always want to return to! 🍕

26/09/2025: Disappointing experience. The second week of September, the Cirò Marina waterfront was completely deserted and all the restaurants were closed. Only Malibú was open, so we settled in for a few snacks and perhaps a drink of the renowned Cirò wine. We ordered a Cirò red wine, which was served at 38°C (98.4°F), explaining that "red doesn't go in the refrigerator." We agreed, but not even at 40°C (104.4°F). In fact, once opened, the wine had turned to vinegar, to which the owner explained, "We're not in the bottle of wine." In short, two embarrassing moments later, we insisted on having it returned and opted for beer. To our surprise, he didn't charge us for it. We were surprised, because the outlook was dire. Tourism in Calabria could boom if only the Calabrians were more hospitable, more friendly, and less Calabrian.
