31/03/2026: The atmosphere is meticulously maintained down to the smallest detail. Excellent service. The owner guides you through both the selection of dishes and the wine list. Excellent food. I will definitely be back.

28/06/2026: I arrived in Cirò Marina with a very specific mission: to find an excellent rosé from an independent producer and to eat authentic sardella. Two goals, one trattoria. At Max's, I told the chef what I was looking for, and within minutes, he made my dreams a reality. The result was a bruschetta I'll never forget: figs, provola cheese, raw shrimp, sardella, and a little salad for balance. A simple idea on paper, but one that showcased what's not surprisingly called the "caviar of Calabria." It was one of those dishes that makes you smile at the first bite. I think I'd been waiting for a lunch like this since I was a child, without even realizing it. All accompanied by an excellent local rosé, expertly recommended and perfect for completing the experience. If you're passing through Cirò Marina with a desire to savor local products interpreted with intelligence and without unnecessary complications, Max's is definitely worth a visit. For once my food hunt ended quickly!

08/07/2026: We entered the place to go inside, and halfway through, I heard a guy behind me at the bar/cash register say, "No, but not with sand on your feet" (or something similar), which wasn't referring to us. As we sat down, they kind of invited us to get up because you can't come in wet (we weren't wet at all). Of course, we left... saying we had sand on our feet is fine, but if we really have to point out details, then we should definitely pretend to be waiters, who usually make unpleasant, almost sexually explicit jokes. For us, the impression is negative.

22/05/2026: May 22, 2026 | We visited this excellent restaurant with its wonderful ambiance today outside of regular dining hours and were delighted with both the quality of the food and the service! We can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! Everything was simply delicious from start to finish!!!

04/05/2026: Aragonese Salotto On April 25th, I opted for the brunch buffet. The restaurant was welcoming, the view fantastic, the service excellent, and the food was well-prepared. I would recommend a heated counter, though. The offer advertised on Facebook included a complimentary bottle of Mare Chiaro wine from Cantine Ippolito. I wasn't served or given a gift. So, I ordered a bottle of Iuzzolini Madre Goccia wine for €27.00, three times the average market price. In all honesty, this seems excessively expensive. Competition from other places and countries is bested with quality, service, transparency, competitiveness, and natural beauty. We have some of these things; for others, the road is still long and winding.

18/05/2026: On the occasion of the feast of the Madonna di Capo Colonna, my daughter went on vacation to Crotone, where she discovered the excellence of gluten-free products. Since I wasn't there with her, she told me every day about her food discoveries, which didn't seem concrete, slimy, or elastic like gluten-free products can be. We received the diagnosis when she was already a young girl (14 years old), so she had grown up with gluten-rich flavors. "MOM, IT MAKES ME WANT TO CRY," she said. She was so happy, and we were so happy to see her enthusiastic about the products she tasted. Thank you so much to the people who dedicated so much passion and hard work to making my daughter's dream come true. "Eating croissants like the ones I remembered...." THANK YOU!!!

14/05/2026: We're still sitting here as I write this review. The wine wasn't served cold, but the bottle was given an ice pack and chilled in no time. The wine is delicious, though. The appetizer platter, both hot and cold, was huge and absolutely delicious. The spaghetti aglio e olio with prawns was served with spaghetti linguine—not the classic style, but not just a handful of prawns either—and it was also tasty. All in all, we would definitely go back, as the price/performance ratio is absolutely fine. It's not your typical tourist trap, and there are lots of Italian families there.

08/06/2026: Authentic Italian – a delight for every palate! If you're looking for genuine Italian cuisine, this is the place to be! The food was simply outstanding – typically Italian, bursting with flavor, and prepared with great care. Every bite was a winner; we were absolutely thrilled! The staff speaks very little English, but that didn't detract from the evening at all – we communicated with gestures, and the team's warmth and genuine friendliness more than made up for it. Sometimes, that's exactly the proof you're in a truly authentic restaurant! What particularly surprised us: the value for money is absolutely fantastic! For the quality and quantity of food, you really pay very little – restaurants like this are rare these days. If you're looking for an authentic taste of Italy without breaking the bank – this is the place for you. We'll definitely be back!

15/02/2026: I came here for the second time because the first time I had a good experience, except for the price... This time I had a misunderstanding with the owner. The food was truly awful and the price was exorbitant. The fish wasn't just frozen, it was actually rubbery. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

13/05/2026: Recommended by friends! A very quiet and modern atmosphere! On the Crotone seafront. The staff is very kind, polite, and helpful. The fried foods are excellent! The pizza is fantastic and made with quality ingredients; it's an explosion of flavor and a harmony of flavors. The dough is excellent, soft, and above all easy to digest. The restaurant also offers a fish-based menu. I think I'll be back as soon as I'm in Crotone again! Praise to the pizza chef

10/07/2026: My partner and I had pizza here for lunch. We shared a delicious "Queen" pizza and salad. The service and friendliness was great and we each had a coldl beer as well as a bottle of water. We were well looked after, but not at all hassled despite not wanting a coffee or dessert afterwards.

19/06/2026: We've ordered pizza delivery from the campsite several times, and I keep wondering how it gets all these positive reviews. Each time, the pizza arrived lacking in ingredients, with a soft dough and a hard crust. A real shame: in Calabria, pizza used to be really good, but here it seems tourists are treated less favorably than locals. The reality is that these days, the pizzas are better in the north, while here it's becoming difficult to find even a decent one. A disappointing experience, every single time.

22/01/2026: Delicious thin-crust pizza, either a cartwheel or a contemporary version. I preferred the cartwheel with buffalo mozzarella and pistachios. It was delicious! Very nice place, friendly staff.
