22/03/2024: We were not lucky enough to see the rooms, but I would like to say that the place is worth a visit, both for the view and for the cuisine. When we manage to go on holiday, at least one evening is already set at the CLARISSE.

02/11/2023: The tobacconist bar, very popular, that is, frequented by the locals. It is located under the hotel and is perfectly organized and stocked. The bar deserves 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐because not only is it well stocked but the staff and owner are kind, affable and attentive to all customer needs.
Returned after months today for the Day of the Dead because they organized an aperitif with a sandwich with turnip tops and sausages.... Excellent

23/12/2023: One of the best pizzas on the coast, air-conditioned place, always friendly staff. I go there to eat every time I pass through the area, don't miss the spicy Santa Lucia mussels and other specialties. Always very fresh fish.
Possibility to pay with American Express.

25/01/2024: We are in Amantea (CS) on the Tyrrhenian Sea near Cosenza. It's evening and we decided to just eat something. Walking along the main street we found ourselves in front of this "Retrogusto" pizzeria and restaurant and we decided to enter. The place has nothing distinctive but it is well kept and clean. I order a Margherita pizza with buffalo mozzarella, the others order pizza, some meat. Since we have to wait a few minutes we decide to start with a snack, we are recommended the fried potatoes seasoned with porcini mushrooms, truly excellent. Once the potatoes and mushrooms have been devoured, it's time for the Napoli-style pizza, I found it cooked well and with good ingredients. Those who ordered something else, such as sliced meat, found the meat tender and cooked rare, served with porcini mushrooms which are the main dish of the house. The service was efficient. A place to recommend.

20/01/2024: Prezzi troppo alti per la qualità che offrono.
In quattro abbiamo preso due pizze condivise, un primo a testa e una frittura con contorno a testa più acqua prezzo €160.
Quello che mi dispiace di più è che la qualità non era assolutamente paragonabile a ciò che abbiamo pagato, sebbene i due primi cioè il risotto non erano male, la pasta era immangiabile perché la salsa che doveva essere agli scampi, era davvero acida e senza alcun sapore di pesce.
La frittura poi, era la peggior frittura che io abbia mangiato in vita mia, pesce di bassa qualitàcongelato e impanato malamente davvero un disastro.
Mi dispiace dare questa recensione perché il personale i stato molto gentile ma non ci tornerò, perchéi i soldi non crescono sugli alberi e non è giusto spenderli verso cibo scadente.

01/11/2023: From Mr Dante's welcome until the end of lunch it was all a continuous sampling of delicious dishes of all types. All excellent fresh products and typical dishes prepared as in the past from pasta to meat and even excellent fried cod with peppers. Excellent house wine and bitters also prepared by themselves. Fast service and fair price. In short, if you want to go to "Eat" this is the right place.
07/09/2023: It has been a regular stop for a few years now, in the summer period. They have always treated us well, we eat well, quality local food, fixed menu with mixed starters, first courses and second courses with side dishes, wine and water. Optimal!!
