02/06/2025: *Review:* *Hotel Calipso, Lignano Sabbiadoro: a total disappointment* I was recently a guest at the Hotel Calipso in Lignano Sabbiadoro and I can say that it was one of the worst stays of my life. Upon arrival, the elevator that was supposed to take us to the fifth floor with two and a half adults on board stopped on the third floor and then got stuck. We were forced to walk the rest of the way, in the middle of August! The room under the roof had no working air conditioning and when the air conditioning did work, it made a deafening noise, it sounded like a diesel train in motion! It was impossible to stay in the room without being disturbed by that infernal noise. The room was also too low, I couldn't even stand up without hitting my head. And the bathroom? A real catastrophe! When you flushed the toilet, a jet of water came out that sounded like the Mont Blanc waterfalls! The noise was so loud that it was impossible to sleep or even just stay in the room. It was like the bathroom was a disco! My experience was a real disappointment and I *strongly advise* everyone against staying at this hotel. The money spent was wasted and it is not worth going back to this place. *Rating:* 1/5 stars *Advice:* Absolutely avoid staying at this hotel and look for better alternatives.

02/06/2025: Total disappointment, an experience to forget We stayed at the Hotel Calypso and unfortunately it was a really negative experience. As soon as we arrived they assigned us a room that calling it a “hovel” is a compliment: old, dirty and with the air conditioning completely out of order. After our complaints they moved us to another room, but the situation didn’t improve much. The air conditioning worked, yes… but the remote control was missing. And the most absurd thing? Not even the owners knew where it was. In four people, we only had one power outlet available: absurd in 2025. Between the heat, disorganization and indecent rooms, we spent more time looking for solutions than enjoying the holiday. We will never return and we strongly advise against it to anyone looking for a minimum of comfort and respect for the customer.
