19/02/2026: The food here is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. The quality is evident, and I found the atmosphere clean. The bathroom was also clean, and the service was quite fast, with the staff attentive to customer requests.
13/02/2026: Today, while passing through Chioggia, I ate here. The atmosphere is elegant, clean, and discreet. A respectable menu and very friendly staff. A good fried dish, excellent wine, side dishes, and a dessert that surprised me: radicchio, carrots, cream, and chocolate chips. A truly unusual specialty. If you have the chance, stop by. 25/02/2026: A lunch I stumbled upon by chance on a weekend in February. The quality of the dishes served was excellent, the ingredients high-quality, and the service truly attentive and formal. A place to recommend; the price is appropriate for the dishes and the service provided. The first courses were truly appreciated. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
22/02/2026: What a wonderful meal in a beautiful atmosphere! Every course was delicious – we were thrilled – also by the exceptional wine list. And the dessert was divine. It's a shame we live seven hours away from Germany – we would definitely come back.

20/06/2025: Oggi abbiamo visitato Chioggia e ci siamo trovati all’Osteria Penzo. Non avevamo prenotato ma i gestori sono riusciti a trovarci un posticino. Abbiamo mangiato i cicchetti come antipasto, gnocchetti buonissimi con vongole, radicchio e cipolla ed un’ottimo fritto.Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo, gestori molto cortesi.
19/06/2025: Ich hatte eine schöne Zeit in Chioggia und der Abend in dieser feinen Osteria bei Mario war das i- Tüpfelchen. Das Essen hervorragend! Der Service freundlich! Und obwohl man reservieren muss, bekommt man das Gefühl der einzige und beste Gast zu sein! Hier bekommt man gute Laune und verlässt das Lokal mit einem Lächeln. Vielen Dank, Mario!

08/11/2025: I've been going to this pastry shop for decades. Excellent breakfasts. Coffee, ginseng coffee, cappuccino, latte, pastries, pancakes, freshly squeezed orange juice. Friendly staff. Clean atmosphere. Clean bathroom. It's a pleasure to sit, enjoy the specialties, watch the customers, and chat. I RECOMMEND.
08/10/2025: Breakfast with pastries and cappuccino. Excellent pastries in the best local tradition.

08/03/2026: We booked at 12:45 and ordered shortly after. The first courses arrived at 2:20, just as we were about to get up and leave. The food was acceptable, but definitely not worth the wait.
08/03/2026: Terrible. After an hour only the bottle of water arrived. We left the restaurant without having lunch.

16/02/2026: Arrived at 2 pm and there were only 3 cicchetti available (a pittance). The 0.40 cc water (always smaller) cost 2 euros and was billed as 0.50 cc. Extremely annoying.
02/02/2026: The best: tables inside and kind attention. Girls at the bar were kind. Prices are medium/high and they just give you a small bag of patatine with the aperitivo.

27/02/2026: For years, when we've been in Sottomarina, we've enjoyed eating there for lunch with the €14 menu, but we were there today and asked if the management had changed! The lady at the cash register told me no, I'm here to help my sister and nephew. I think it would have been better if it were closed. She scares customers away. The arrogant lady argues with the staff in front of customers. Unprofessional. Without a receipt, nothing worked, she just collected the money. 🤔🤔 Not recommended for now.

02/11/2023: Abbiamo preso due primi dopodiché ce ne siamo andati: spaghetti alle vongole e spaghetti allo scoglio. Delusione al 🔝. Molto sale, masticazione di sabbia e scaglie di valve, spaghetti bolliti …. Prezzo spropositato rispetto alla qualità offerta.
14/10/2023: Pranzo di coppia. Esposto cartello fuori menu con moeche. Attirati ci fermiamo. Poi si scopre che sono finite. Va be ci fermiamo. Piatti di qualità sufficiente dosi normali. Prezzi esosi.. 18 eur antipasti. Ma il servizio... Drammatico camerieri che si urlano una ragazza inesperta.. Ciliegina alla cassa neanche lo scontrino. Grave errore. Sconsigliatissimo

26/04/2025: Locale curato (pare, perché si mangia in penombra !) piatti curati ma se avete fame, non è il posto per voi. La cortesia delle cameriere innegabile ma non altrettanto quella del proprietario che ha un atteggiamento quasi infastidito e spocchioso . Un sorriso costa poco e almeno quando pago QUEL conto, potrebbe rallegrarsi .
Non ci tornerei .
22/04/2025: Ottimo ristorante di pesce nel centro di Chioggia. Il menu offre un’ampia scelta di piatti di pesce locale freschissimo. La cucina sa esaltare l’ottima materia prima. Buonissimi il gran bollito di Chioggia, il crudo di mare, la grigliata, come pure i dolci (consigliata la degustazione della piccola pasticceria). Il locale è elegante, i tavoli sono ben distanziati e il servizio è curato, professionale e gentile.
