01/12/2024: Centro storico di Chiusi, è l’ora di pranzo di una fredda domenica di inizio dicembre. Non abbiamo prenotato, ma i proprietari (marito e moglie) si danno da fare per trovare un tavolo per due. Scelta ottima, a giudicare da quello che abbiamo provato (poche cose ma buone e preparate con cura): cacio e pere, pici all’aglione, zuppa di zucca e farro, e spinaci ripassati in padella insaporiti dall’aglione della Valdichiana. Porzioni giuste per appetiti normali, servizio gentile, prezzi in linea con la qualità dei piatti. Torneremo con più tempo a disposizione per provare altre proposte del menù.

07/01/2025: Nestled in the medieval village of Monticchiello, near Pienza and the Sienese Val d'Orcia, the Daria restaurant immediately puts the guest at ease. Pleasant temperature, light background music and a smile as soon as you enter the room. The selection is quite challenging because each dish gives the impression of being very tasty and it is exactly like that! From the appetizer to the dessert everything is excellent and well looked after and the desire to return is the predominant feeling. Wide choice of wines and surprise, to accompany the dessert, a liqueur wine with sour cherries which, despite being an alcoholic syrup, is not cloying but rather invites you to drink more.

18/02/2025: Pietrino and Matteo have created a truly unforgettable memory for my husband and I on our honeymoon here in Tuscany. From the moment Matteo picked us up we felt the warmth of his humor and familiarity of his welcome to his home country - and Pietrino, to put it simply, he taught us more about what we love about wine I n 1 hour than we ever learned in our 10+ years of indulging on our own. We are more in love after having met these two and being taken care of with great conversation, amazing food, and great hearts. Alessandro Spillo and Punta truffle hunting: two days later, we came back for a lovely truffle hunting experience with Alessandro and his dogs, Spillo and Punta. He is very knowledgeable and taught us many things about truffle hunting and training the dogs. He took us for a hunt and we found several different varieties of truffle. It was so interesting to watch and learn how the dogs find truffles and we got a lot of great videos and pictures to show our friends and family back home. Overall I would strongly recommend this experience if you visit the estate. Thank you for an entertaining and educational activity!

07/01/2025: Space. We ended up here by chance: the sweetness and helpfulness of the owners made us fall in love. Welcoming environment, with attention to the smallest details. The dishes are absolutely delicious, fantastic pici with wild boar with an extra touch (to be discovered). For the second course we chose some vegetables: absolutely fabulous, from their garden; the chef cooks them in a surprising way. Selection of castle wines. In short, we would never go away again. Highly recommended from all points of view.

23/12/2024: La Bottega la frequento da anni.. Parto da Roma un paio di volte l'anno per farmi rapire prima di tutto della location. Volpaia e' a mio parere uno dei piu bei posti della toscana. Un borgo che vi lascerà senza parole...visitandolo sarete rapiti dai profumi che provengono dalla cucina della Bottega... potrete mangiare cose straordinarie vi giuro.. in un giardino delizioso dove al tramonto oltre che gustare piatti tipici toscani.. potrete vedere le colline del chianti che si arrossiscono fino a che il sole non muore. La cucina non tradisce mai.. e si puo vedere l'orto... dove proprietaria e mamma da anni coltivano prodotti che finiscono direttamente nei piatti... Io due volte l'anno vado perche li e un paradiso per il palato e per la vista.. Credetemi... La sorella della proprietaria nella piazzetta difronte ha un bar.. il Bar Ucci.. dove serve aperitivi con prodotti di altissima qualita...da perdere a testa.. Se mai un giorno mi sposassi dico da anni che Volpaia e la Bottega accoglierebbero i miei invitati.. Un forte abbraccio alle proprietarie alla loro gentilezza.. umorismo e bravura in cucina...Dieci e lode

25/01/2025: Last night, we had dinner in this beautiful, very well-kept restaurant. Their kindness comes first, they are very attentive to the service, we ate both meat and fish and it was all really delicious, exquisite, the fried fish top and very soft! I would say the kitchen was perfect, fast, with great attention to detail and extremely clean and tidy. You can see that the father and son love this job very much and convey passion in what they do, and that's not for everyone! Thank you so much for this experience, we'll see you again soon! (fair prices for the quality and service they give!)

21/12/2024: Second best Michelin restaurant I've tried. Had the 8 course (which is more like 11 after all the extras) with wine pairing. Dishes are creative, sometimes adventurous. Even when average there is something to appreciate. Service is attentive but not overwhelming. Wine pairing is great. Prices are unusually affordable for a Michelin star. The atmosphere is okay, the music isn't loud and you can't hear other tables' discussions unless you want to. If you're in the area definitely give this a try. It might not blow you away on all dishes, but it will be a very fine dinner all in all. Oh and for reviewers who said the staff was arrogant, that is far from the truth in my experience. Everyone was friendly.

17/11/2024: We spent a special evening here! Food here is in a league of its own! Anyone who is willing to spend a little more will be offered a very special experience. The bread that accompanies the food deserves a special mention, it is extremely good and homemade!

09/02/2025: Excellent restaurant no more than 10 minutes from Piazza del Campo. Tradition and innovation with the highest quality products. Menu with the right variety. Important wine list but with bottles for all choices, rightly biased towards Tuscan cellars. Unique structure with exposed historic cellar. Great courtesy and professionalism of the staff... so the price is absolutely well paid. Thank you.

23/12/2024: Sunday lunch as a couple, express stop. With parking, cozy atmosphere, clean bathrooms and wonderful service from Max. The bruschete antipasto was very delicious to share and two pasta dishes: pici al ragù toscano and cappellacci with lemon (shared), both delicious! With rosso wine recommended by Max, very good too. We will surely return!
