06/01/2026: Very close to the main square, elegant and very quiet. We wanted a good Florentine steak and I think we couldn't have chosen a better place! It weighed 1.5kg for two and we didn't even notice, it was so good! Attentive, helpful, and fast service. The price was reasonable for the quality. Recommended!
04/01/2026: A great place with top-notch food. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the entire restaurant is furnished with beautiful antique furniture. I highly recommend it.

05/04/2026: We ordered the tasting menu, and the food was absolutely not worth the price. All the dishes were flavorless, and the portions were tiny. The flavors overall didn't seem to pair very well. We left the restaurant still hungry and not satisfied with our meal. It's incredible that it's been on the Michelin list for so many years in a row. The city is pretty, and there are definitely better options.

04/04/2026: It was a truly fantastic meal. The whole family was delighted with the quality of the food. The waiters were also very friendly and welcoming, explaining all the restaurant's specialties. The menu includes typical dishes not found elsewhere. The sweet and spicy wild boar was superb!! We highly recommend it!!!
02/04/2026: I was out with my girlfriend, riding my motorcycle, and we chose this place to eat because it was close to where we'd parked our bike. The place is very welcoming, with an old-fashioned style that fits in well with the town. The waiter was very kind in explaining the tavern's typical and unique dishes and wines, which are what we ordered, and we didn't regret it. Terrine as an appetizer, along with fried artichokes, followed by Etruscan-style pici and sweet and sour wild boar—unusual dishes that absolutely must be tried. If you're passing through Volterra, I recommend stopping by. Since it's a unique menu, it's a little more expensive than usual, but that's to be expected, and it's worth it.

29/03/2026: Lunch for two, both the Volterra-style tripe and the stewed wild boar were excellent, accompanied by simple Pannonia variations. To finish, the zuppa inglese was excellent and the house amaro was very aromatic. The price was reasonable. The owners were very attentive to their guests' needs.

28/12/2025: I don't usually write reviews, but this is to prevent others from wasting money on a business that doesn't deserve to exist. I've never had such a bad meal in a restaurant in my life. The chef and owner should do some soul-searching.
02/11/2025: We went for lunch today, there were six of us and a five-year-old. I give one star because it's the best. It was an embarrassing experience. We sat down and ordered four appetizers, a penne pasta for the child, and six first courses. 45 minutes for a platter for four and 50 minutes for the child's pasta. A small platter for four people, and they forgot the cheeses. After another 40 minutes, the first courses hadn't arrived, and I went to report it. I was treated rudely by the owner, who raised her voice in front of everyone, embarrassing me. In short, she was rude. A second later, the pici arrived, which were barely edible and cold. We went to the cashier, paid, and spent €194. As we leave, we complain among ourselves, and the cook makes a "quaquaqua" noise while sneering. After the crap he'd served, he should have put down his apron and moved on to other jobs, just like the owners, who weren't able to handle the situation. Please, you guys, avoid it while you're still on time.
