04/10/2024: It is the second year that I have chosen the Hotel la Rosa for my September holidays, traveling alone. The location is ideal for visiting the island by MTB and the hotel itself has some e-bikes to rent. Don't expect luxurious rooms or spas, La Rosa stands out for the incredible availability, courtesy and friendliness of the owners and staff, for the genuine cuisine and, for those who like it, for the excellent choice of spirits. All at truly accommodating prices. Rich breakfast for a two star hotel with various types of cereals, yogurt, jams, Nutella, homemade bread, croissants and biscuits also for celiacs. Quality restaurant, so much so that you need to book, as it works a lot with local customers. It feels like home and even if you are traveling alone, you will never feel alone.

31/08/2024: All very good, attentive and kind staff, they made us feel at ease, despite the inexperience of some junior waiters. The amouse bouche of a fifth quarter of fish and the dry aged fish carpaccio were much appreciated. The manager, despite being too bright at times, was kind in finding us a last seat and friendly in his service. Location in the main street softened by many green plants. Bring anti-mosquito lotion (common in Piombino)

27/08/2024: We went last Saturday for lunch. External table. We decided to ask the manager for advice and it was truly a riot of goodness. The skilfully prepared fish we tasted was truly exquisite. I recommend this place when you want to try something special at reasonable prices.

23/10/2024: Atmosphere like in a train station hall. Dishes were too salty (especially the spinach and salsiccia). The restaurant appears to have no spoons and only a limited number of oil and vinegar bottles as well as pepper and salt shakers. I can't understand five star reviews at all!

04/10/2024: Extremely delicious. Very, very nice staff. Food great and also with children, very flexible. You can order fresh pasta with various sauces for the children and the adults can put together their delicious meal from the “small” :-) very well put together menu. Come again. Quality great!!

The price is absolutely consistent with a unique tasting experience

15/11/2024: Work break, I didn't know the place, I happen to enter and... SBAM!!! Assailed by aromas, authenticity, abundance in portions, all seasoned with appreciated cordiality. Homemade cuisine and a large variety of cold cuts and cheeses. Warning: it can be addictive!

31/08/2024: Nothing made the visit unforgettable. But we really liked the rustic, quiet atmosphere in the mountains. Something different from the hustle and bustle in Bolgheri. And the prices are also really moderate for this region. Especially since the pizza was extremely tasty, as was the pasta. We'd love to come back.

21/08/2024: Memore di cene favolose del passato, di quelle di pesce proprio memorabili, sono ritornata con la mia famiglia e purtroppo la delusione e’ stata cocente. Dozzinale, poco curato, servizio mediocre e piatti scialbi. Ho addirittura avuto la sensazione che nella frittura a di gamberi bianchi, acciughe e baccalà navigasse parecchio surgelato. Crudi niente di che e ostriche da dimenticare. Peccato. E’ stata proprio una delusione

01/11/2024: Sono tornata col mio compagno perché già conoscevo il ristorante, spero vivamente che abbiano cambiato cuoco, perché una volta si mangiava bene... e li invimolto molto delusi, cibo con tanto di un capello all inclusive, mangiato triste senza arte né parte... un più alla cameriera, composta e solare un meno assoluto al caposala o proprietario...stanco e demotivato... consiglio fate qualche passo un po più in là...... (sconsiglio)
