27/08/2025: Great place to eat classic Florentine sandwiches. Small but cozy, the waitress who served us was very pleasant, and, most importantly, the food was delicious. We ordered the Leonardo di Caprio and the Taylor Swift, and that same night Taylor Swift announced she was getting married. It was destined to be that sandwich. Joking aside, highly recommended.

26/08/2025: The best sandwiches I’ve eaten in Florence so far!!! A really good price and lovely calm atmosphere. The staff were super lovely as well, would definitely recommend!!!

08/09/2025: We have eaten wonderfully here! The dishes were absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. We went for lunch but ate antipasti, primi and secondi, so it was a a bit more expensive but so so worth it. I think for the quality of food the prices are really really fair. Love this place and would highly recommend it!

05/09/2025: We found this place by chance during a visit to Certaldo in February. It was truly a fortunate discovery. The atmosphere is typical, a bit retro, and very pleasant. The owner is very kind and approachable, and willing to explain all the dishes we ordered. Everything was truly excellent, with an honorable mention for the onion soup. The price was absolutely reasonable for the quality of what we ate. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop for another meal.

02/09/2025: I’ve been to nearly 100 craft breweries all over the world, not only is this one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of frequenting it’s also one of only 5 in all of Florence! AMAZING variety of craft beers all from Italy, easily the best (and one of the few) craft breweries I was able to find in Italy. Knowledgeable staff and impeccable vibes, make a point to have a pint (or three) here if you love great beer!

20/06/2025: Such good lasagna at such a price? Unbeatable, in my opinion. A large portion that even a big eater can eat, plus a Coke for a total of €8? In a location like this, near one of Florence's most famous sights? It can hardly be more affordable. Especially with such friendly service!

17/06/2025: An unassuming restaurant, but appearances can be deceiving. It's excellent. The lasagna and tiramisu were incredibly good. The owners were also very nice.

02/06/2025: Marco is a professional who knows his job well and understands the ideas and desires of his customers, our wedding cake was not only beautiful but also very good, with an exceptional level of quality, and it made us receive many positive comments from our guests.

29/05/2025: We relied on this pastry shop for our wedding cake, I had the pleasure of speaking with Marco the owner. Marco was very kind in helping me with my doubts, advising us on how to set up the table. I knew that I could not keep up with this thing being the bride and talking to him gave me peace of mind, dealing with someone who loves their job always changes things for the better! We had tasted the cake at the tasting for the choice and it was delicious, the cake at the wedding was equally delicious and all the guests confirmed it . 26/07/2025: Paseando por la noche lo vimos pero era un poco tarde y decidimos pasarnos al día siguiente. Nos ha encantado! Huíamos de sitios para turistas y nos ha encantado, además nos hemos quedado los últimos y ha salido el dueño a saludar y nos ha contado sus inicios y su historia! Ha sido una experiencia redonda! Hemos alimentado el cuerpo y el alma! Muchas gracias! Volveremos seguro!

24/07/2025: Atendidos por sus dueños, mamá papá e hijo están al mando del restaurante. La comída excelente. Comimos pastas caseras y una torta de ricotta excelente. Un bolichon típico para salir del bullicio de los turistas.

11/09/2025: Unfortunately, I can't understand the rave reviews here. The service was friendly and attentive, the location directly behind the cathedral is fantastic—all of that is certainly true, but the food was mediocre at best and therefore, unfortunately, ridiculously overpriced. The appetizer—baked pecorino on pear—arrived after just a few minutes, so it was clear it was served fresh from the microwave. Based on the description "Fried pecorino cheese on pear crudité," one might have expected something more unusual than what we're used to serving as baked Camembert or Emmental. The "pear crudité" was simply sliced, rock-hard pieces of pear. All of this was slapped together on a plate with relative ease. I then had the branzino fillet, which was described as "oven-brown fillet of seabass with celeriac purée and parsley drops." In any case, you can't accuse the restaurant of misleading labels – there was a very tender piece of branzino, with a bit of puree underneath and the "drops" of parsley pesto in homeopathic doses. It could have been really good – the fish was tender and cooked to perfection – but unfortunately, the chef must not be in love, because everything lacked seasoning. So, it's okay; you can eat it, but I expect more flavor from high-quality cuisine. The pasta my wife ate was also bland and the kind that leaves you wanting less with every bite. I'm giving it three stars for the tender fish fillet, which showed what could have been done, and for a well-stocked wine list, but I can't really recommend a visit to Il Caminetto.

20/08/2025: Loved the interior. it’s lovely and elegant with a yellow theme. The pasta here is honestly some of the best I’ve ever had (and I’m from the US). I tried the vongole and the carbonara, and the carbonara especially surprised me. (They were all great) It totally changed my idea that it has to be really salty. Definitely recommend this spot if you want to taste real pasta 😋

19/08/2025: The most incredible sandwich I’ve ever tasted. We got the salami and cheese sandwich with onion cream? It was amazing. The owner is very friendly and helpful and we received the sandwich promptly. It’s well priced and you can tell the ingredients used are of a high quality.

15/08/2025: Wasn’t sure what to order so went with a recommendation from the guy serving. It was amazing!!!!!! This is a must stop - although it can be busy but that’s just a sign of how good the food is.

29/06/2025: After a trip to Vinci we decided to stop at this small, somewhat hidden place... We ate fresh, delicious food... Quality cured meats and cheeses... various spritzes for an aperitif... the owner is always smiling and very friendly.
