12/06/2025: Totally by chance we ended up at this restaurant for lunch this afternoon.
It was very quiet, the gentleman was sitting outside on his terrace and looked around.
When he noticed us he came to us, the calm and friendliness itself, with advice, clear explanation and attention for us.
We had a fantastic lunch, the waitress and the lady herself were also very hospitable and had an eye for us as guests. The portions were large, we were given the leftovers carefully packed to take home.
And that in a tourist town, you don't expect it (anymore).
A unique meeting and experience that we will always remember with emotion and much pleasure.
Thank you dear people of Portolano!!!

when I said that we would review the place the waiter replied 'you can do even 200 since we don't care we compensate with our self reviews' ahahahaha how embarrassing
having said that, go to Kuni next door instead.

22/06/2025: Splendid place on the sea with a fabulous view of the Purità beach. You can drink very well and enjoy excellent aperitifs. The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar, and the staff is simply excellent: kind, attentive and super professional. Highly recommended for those looking for relaxation and quality in a unique location!
18/06/2025: You can't miss the sunset in Gallipoli from here! Excellent platters and bruschetta. Friendly and fast service. Too bad a seagull stole a slice of ham with a maneuver worthy of a stuka! Highly recommended. Reservation required!

30/06/2025: Highly recommended place! Excellent food and very friendly staff. Also, almost all the dishes can be replicated without gluten (the fried food and the swordfish Gallipoli style are excellent).
26/06/2025: Passing by to try a gluten-free mixed fry to take away, I was pleasantly surprised by the goodness of the fish, the lightness of the fried food, the fair price for the quantity.
Very kind staff, nice place, a very positive memory of Gallipoli.

22/03/2025: Semplicemente Superlativo!!!! Tutto ottimo... dall' antipasto al dolce nulla da eccepire....prezzi ottimi e cucina davvero molto molto di qualità.... Consigliatissimo...se capitate da queste parti non potete non venire a mangiare qui!!!!!

31/05/2025: VERY rude!!!!! we try to be mindful as tourists and speak italian and be respectful wherever we go, but the staff were so rude, treated us like we were idiots, and made us feel so uncomfortable the whole time we ate our pastries and had our coffees. in the 6 weeks we’ve been travelling around italy, we have not been treated this poorly. we couldn’t wait to get out of there - save yourself the trouble and go to a cafe that respects its patrons.

12/06/2025: The hotel was truly beautiful – we received a warm welcome and had a wonderful room with a view of the harbor. The service at the hotel was excellent overall, everything was fine.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was a completely different experience: chaotic service, overpriced food, and then we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. This unfortunately significantly spoils the overall impression.
Conclusion: We'd happily return to the hotel – but we certainly won't go to the restaurant again.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful – a warm welcome and a splendid room with a view of the harbor. The service at the hotel was also impeccable, completely perfect.
Purtroppo il ristorante is in an old story: served with coffee, served at a cost of 1.5 ore per cigarette. Questo ha rovinato un po’ l’esperienza complessiva.
Conclusion: torneremmo volentieri all’hotel – ma al ristorante sicuramente no.
12/06/2025: Al Pescatore is the perfect place to enjoy the freshest fish in a welcoming atmosphere.
The dishes are very well-prepared: the raw seafood is always fresh and the chef Luciano's specialties such as paccheri with grouper and sgonfiotto filled with burrata and red shrimp are impeccable. The service is courteous and attentive, the quality-price ratio is excellent. Ideal for any occasion to have a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

Pranzo ottimo : carrellata di antipasti di mare molto varia e ricca, crudo di ottima qualità, i primi degni della fama dello chef, Maurizio Felice si conferma il numero uno in cucina, dovunque lui vada innovazione e gusto li ritrovi in ogni piatto suggerito. Complimenti allo chef Maurizio e a tutto il suo staff.
Angolo Blu consigliatissimo.
30/01/2025: Se si vuole mangiare pesce fresco in qualsiasi periodo dell'anno, questo è il locale da scegliere. Cucina tipica ma con tocchi gourmet, servizio cordiale e prezzi accettabili

22/06/2025: We went to Andrano near the Green Grotto this morning for breakfast. A wonderful welcome and delicious products... The waitress kindly served me a rum baba, with a big smile...
This afternoon we decided to go for ice cream at Martinucci in Gallipoli... What a disappointment! The cashier was in a very unpleasant mood, so I didn't eat anything there!
It's intolerable to speak to a customer in that tone!
19/06/2025: Excellent ice cream shop in Gallipoli! Warm welcome, fast and friendly service. The ice creams are delicious, creamy, and very varied, with original and high-quality flavors. A place not to be missed!

08/07/2024: Io e mio marito siamo stati 4 giorni in vacanza qui. Il posto è splendido. L’atmosfera molto rilassante. Le camere spaziose e colorate, sono dotate di un piccolo giardino molto strategico per lavare i costumi, stendere gli asciugamani e stare in relax a leggere. Il personale molto attento, mi ha procurato il latte di soya senza che io lo chiedessi. Anche la colazione molto buona con pasticciotti di qualità e prodotti locali.
