We stopped to use the restroom, but first we had a coffee...
€1.40 for a coffee at the counter seems like a bit of a premium to me, and everyone is free to sell it for as much as they like...
The restroom was quite dirty and tiny.

This lounge bar is located below the main street in a small square that serves as an outdoor bar.
Very cozy and pleasant for aperitifs during the day or in the evening when things are a bit livelier.
The prices are a little above average, but the drinks are generous and very good.
It quickly becomes a favorite with young people because it's one of the coolest spots in Taormina.

21/11/2025: It would be a real shame to go to Ascoli Piceno and not stop by Caffetteria Meletti: after reading so many positive reviews, the place lived up to my expectations. The staff was kind and welcoming. I ordered a hot chocolate with Meletti liqueur and cream: among the best I've ever had, served with some complimentary cookies that I really appreciated. The prices are a bit above average, but given the location and history of the place, they remain affordable.
20/11/2025: Truly historic café in Piazza del Poppolo. Coffee, drinks and bar food is very good. Great place to meet for drinks inside or on the beautiful outdoor terrace in the main piazza.

06/04/2025: In un aprile che sembra gennaio siamo arrivati al posto di confine tra Stato pontificio e Regno Borbonico. Qui, da anni e con passione, viene preparata una ottima cucina del territorio, con grande fierezza. Abbiamo mangiato triglie marinate (splendide), insalata di mare tiepida (sapore molto buono), riso ai frutti di mare (grintoso), brodetto di pesce alla sanbenedettese (unico per tipicità) e un sorbetto al Montepulciano d’Abruzzo capace di fare digerire splendidamente il tutto. Pranzo in atmosfera accogliente, con servizio attento. Eravamo in tre (io, mio marito e il barboncino). Quello più coccolato è stato il barboncino. Quando una persona ama i cani e il suo lavoro, ha un grande cuore.

06/09/2025: Our favorite pastry shop for breakfast or birthday cakes; handcrafted by the family; excellent cream pastries; very good coffee and creamy cappuccino; and the owner at the register is extremely kind and friendly.
28/07/2025: What a wonderful experience to enjoy breakfast at the Malaspina pastry shop! A wide selection of pastries, each one more tempting than the last. A special mention goes to the Sunday pastries, which change every week. The anisette zeppola, a great classic of Ascolane gastronomy, lives up to expectations. The cappuccino is top-notch. The service is charming and attentive. We return there on each of our trips to Italy with great pleasure! I highly recommend it.

31/07/2025: I have been satisfied customer for several years., Now for three days you have not been able to enter the site and talk to someone to solve the problem. . You cannot do in a new order: as soon as I try to enter the site, I am asked to implement the registration data (moreover in possession of the company for years). I do it and the procedure blocks and does not allow you to do anything.
Absurd.
15/07/2025: I love this store. There's a huge selection of Italian wines and everytime I went into the Testaccio location (several times during our last two visits to Rome), Andrea gave me excellent advice on which wines to buy. The last one I had, which I think is stellar, is a biodynamic Lazio white (Malvasia & Passerina grape blend) called Oncia Bianco, by Carlo Noro. Next time we visit, I'll definitely be returning.

24/08/2025: Average place... At first the staff seemed a bit "naive": the lady hadn't told us that the menu was with a QR code and we waited in vain for it to be brought to us... We asked for a seat away from the music because our little one was sleeping and we chose a table. I placed the stroller next to me and the lady told me that it was in the way (even though they could fit perfectly) and took the initiative to move the stroller as she saw fit! I remained silent and still, I don't even know how! Beyond that, I have to say that I really liked the pizza! Crispy, well-topped, and thin, just the way I like it!
