14/05/2026: A lovely café with friendly and helpful staff. It replaced an old coffee roaster a few years ago.

29/04/2026: A little secluded, not too busy. The owners are incredibly lovely and very child-friendly, offering excellent advice and selling coffee from their own roastery, both as whole beans and ground on request, also available for takeaway. A lovely souvenir from your holiday. They also have a small pastry shop.

07/04/2026: Silvia's courtesy and skill in the kitchen, Andrea's promptness and kindness in the dining room, and the quiet, understated, West Coast-esque atmosphere pleasantly surprised us, so much so that we've made this bistro our go-to in Varese. With different menus for breakfast, brunch, or a business lunch, it's sure to satisfy the gastronomic curiosity of the many regulars and occasional diners at this charming establishment next to the courthouse.

03/04/2026: Brunch at Less was nothing short of a wonderful experience: not only were the location and the food extraordinary, but the welcome was something rarely found in Varese. We can't wait to return!

19/07/2026: We went today for the first time even though we live in the next town, I would say high prices, we arrived at 12 we paid for the whole day 2 adults a 5 year old child umbrella with two sunbeds €62.😱!! Quiet I would say equal to zero people diving from all sides it was continuous, I understand the fun but having a child it was more of a danger than fun I would say pure stress and annoyance 🥺 more rules honestly should be more🤷‍♀️ nice structure but as for attractions for smaller ones I would say zero if not slides for older ones!!! To tell the truth I don't know if I will return.

19/07/2026: The girls loved the slides. The food was also good. Unfortunately, there are only a few umbrellas on the lawn, so either get there early or stand around to watch the kids. A nice day, but expensive.

24/06/2026: I've always liked it as a place. Ample space with an outdoor terrace, an ancient courtyard porch, and a very impressive setting. The problem is that there were 6 of us having breakfast. A good half hour passed after the clerk placed the order. I got up to ask for information. And they couldn't wait any longer; we were leaving (almost). Breakfast arrived in 40 minutes. That day, there weren't many people. 5 tables with just a few people. I think it's a staffing issue. The girl was alone, but then the other girl arrived... Boo

16/02/2026: The beers and atmosphere are excellent. My only small complaint is that it took a quarter of an hour to bring us the menu once we were seated. Other than that, I'll be back. The lager from the Orso Verde brewery is excellent.

31/05/2026: I mainly go there for breakfast and it's always good. I especially like their espresso; I think it's the best in Ponte Tresa.

18/04/2026: ALL OVER: 4.6 Bar Dovrana is perfect for a quick afternoon stop. We went there for a snack and were pleasantly surprised. The sandwiches are wonderful, generously filled, and really delicious. Add to that a fair price point that's absolutely convincing. An uncomplicated, pleasant place for a quick but high-quality break.

15/07/2026: The brioche of the month is good, but they charge a whopping €2.50 for a "special" item... a glass of water costs €0.70... that seems a bit pricey. Good quality, but perhaps the prices need to be reviewed.

21/04/2026: A special thanks to Gaetano, who with his infinite patience, kindness, and friendliness helped us with everything, from check-in (at 5:00 AM) to parking the car, to assistance on the day of departure. All the staff were kind and helpful. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant (fantastic pizza, even lasagna—what can I say, if it weren't for the distance, I'd have lunch and dinner there every day) and the prices were very reasonable considering the excellent quality of the food. The rooms were simple, clean, and comfortable. Thank you so much.

12/07/2026: I came in at 7:15 pm for an aperitif. I was told they were about to close. (I'm disabled and have a walker. I insisted a little and they agreed to serve me a beer, but I'd have to drink it standing up without sitting down!)

09/03/2026: Let me start by saying it's a historic bar with a 20th-century feel. The decor and ambiance remind me of the bars I frequented as a child, and fortunately, modernity hasn't completely changed the bar, which remains crystallized in its identity. This is priceless to me. I happily spend my work lunch breaks at Bar Torino. I love their sandwiches, made with fresh bread delivered every morning. The fillings are made with quality cured meats, all sorts of cheeses, freshly cut vegetables, and a wide selection of pickles and preserves in oil. The price is incredible for the quality: a sandwich will set you back 5 euros. For the same price, in the area, you'd end up with a homemade tramezzino, and what's more, half-empty, as sad as a loan shark's debt. They often serve hot first courses, homemade omelettes, and similar meals during lunch breaks. I personally prefer the sandwiches, but everything is on par. The staff is calm and kind, professional people who seem to have come from another era, reminding us how to work. Professional and always low-key, they never show signs of lapses or excesses. Always discreet. I love their way of doing things.
