29/08/2025: I won't dwell on the quality of the gelato because it's also good. I'm giving it one star because I don't think I've ever seen a day when they respected the opening hours. Rainy days are fine, but even perfectly normal days, and I'd still be there for three hours and it was already closed. You can get excellent quality, but if you don't respect the opening hours, you're not going to get much use out of it. I advise anyone who wants to try it to call before finding themselves closed 2-3 hours early.

05/08/2025: It's 10:38 PM on a Tuesday night and the ice cream shop is closed, so they wave me away. The time in the photo, however, suggests otherwise. A word of warning to anyone who decides to get ice cream here in the future.

23/07/2025: Like many reviews on here, we got took by the offers at the table. It is a tourist trap and like others on here took the L offered. But our coke was like 4 cokes normally at $3.50€ each so the $17€ is ok if you can drink 4 cokes…lol. Food was very good (2/3 as mine was ok) but also bit on the add ons offered, another $32€ which isn’t really worth it. And the location was great on the patio looking at a 600 year old castle. If you stay at a regular drink and don’t add garlic toast and cheese the price is the same. Be aware of the upgrades they offer and lunch will be a normal price and of good quality.

23/07/2025: Another sad case of getting fooled for not reading the reviews first. A smooth talking waiter lured us to sit at one of the caffe tables. My wife said she wanted an ice cream. He directed her to a window where the ice creams - and the prices - were displayed. She ordered a pistachio ice cream listed at 8 Euro. ( a bit expensive, we thought , but we wanted to treat her) When the bill came, we were charged … 17 Euros. We asked the waiter and he said that 8 euros was the price if we had ordered at the window. As we ordered from him there was another price in another book ( that he told us we should have asked for ???) We travelled to Bolzano and to Merano and never had any such cheap trick pulled on us in any restaurant. For a few extra Euros, do the Dante cafe realize they give a bad name to an entire industry in a certain country ? And the worst of it, they carry the name of the greatest Italian poet. They should change their name to cafe Zanni in order to match their practices.

03/09/2025: I always enjoy coming here when I can, because I find a varied vegan selection of brioches and croissants for breakfast. I also add cappuccino with plant-based and decaf milk. Friendly service, and seating is available both inside and outside. Recommended for vegans... and definitely for everyone else too! 💫

28/08/2025: It's an excellent café with top-notch coffee and impeccable service. It's a shame the croissants are all margarine-based. I hope they change suppliers and go to a good pastry shop to get them!

20/07/2025: Due cameriere e un barista da solo fanno il possibile per gestire tanti tavoli occupati fuori in attesa dell'aperitivo. Ci sediamo, ordiniamo, dopo circa venti minuti arriva un'ottima focaccia bianca farcita. Dopo altri 15-20 minuti arrivano finalmente i drink (enormi e buoni) e delle patatine. Entro per cercare la toilette. Il locale è vuoto ma sui tavoli della saletta ci sono innumerevoli vassoi e bicchieri già sbarazzati. Ma assumere un paio di persone in più?

29/04/2025: posto carino ma abbiamo trovato capelli nel piatto e prezzo eccessivo( per tre coca-cola abiamo speso 18 euro), inoltre il servizio risponde un po' male ai clienti.

23/02/2025: Osteria carinissima dove si registra grande cura del cliente, dell'ambiente, dei piatti. Musica in sottofondo molto rilassante. Si può davvero sognare in un luogo così. Personale gentile e disponibile. Piatti gustosi. Lo consiglio per una cenetta romantica. Oltretutto pagando con The fork si risparmia anche un po'.

25/04/2025: My sister and I had hot tea one evening, the clerk at the house asked us if we also wanted lemon and we said yes, when it came to paying, in addition to an exaggerated cost for two very normal hot teas, we saw that the receipt also indicated the two slices of lemon!! 😂😅, what beggars

15/03/2025: The atmosphere reflects its name. Upon entering, the owner is already pissed off and repeatedly yells at his co-worker. We sit down alone, and the waiter reminds us that the bar will close in half an hour, so hurry up 😵‍💫The website says it's open all day, but we ignore it. I go to the restroom: everything is dirty, old, and poorly maintained. The bathroom door doesn't close. The herbal teas, just one per person, with no choice, are delicious. I don't recommend it; there are definitely better places, especially in terms of hospitality and service.
