22/01/2026: MOVE ON Having been to this place before, I decided to return for dinner with my wife. As soon as we arrived, I was surprised to find that the management had changed, and unfortunately, so had the service. Once we entered this small room filled with tables of various sizes, we were given this tiny table wedged in the middle of all the others and equipped with this brown faux leather placemat that in my opinion was truly unhygienic, a paper napkin, bread that I thought was industrial-strength, shelf-stable, and a lot of noisy din. It was basically like being in a cafeteria, but with a cover charge of €2 per person. My wife ordered pumpkin gnocchi, which she said were quite good, while I received a plate of tagliatelle that was nothing short of awful. The plate was presented with the pasta on one side, mushrooms on the other, and a slop, probably due to a good amount of cooking water. At first glance, it felt like a re-plate; the pasta was cold and, above all, undercooked. After the first and only forkful, I decided not to bother, paid the bill, and went to another restaurant.

20/02/2026: I went to this restaurant on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, for a vegan dinner... and alas, I have to say that the menu, while well-conceived, was rather tasteless and cold! The appetizer was a flan with creamed leeks (if I remember correctly) served cold... honestly, since it's not summer, it could have been at least lukewarm; it would have been tastier. For my first course, I had black rice with radicchio served over a creamed... sorry, I can't be specific, but I don't have the menu handy. This was also served cold. The second course was a fajoada served lukewarm, not at all spicy (despite the fact that they told you all the dishes would be spicy) and absolutely lacking in depth. The chef could have added a vegan stew to give a little more body to the dish, which ultimately was just beans with tomato sauce. To finish, a chocolate cake made with the same basic dough as the appetizer (which is fine, the dough was good). The cake was good, but if the chocolate had been warm and slightly spicy, it would have been better (to be fair, my friend tasted a bit of chili pepper in her cake). Even the sauce we were given to accompany the dishes or as a snack before the main courses wasn't anything special. It's a shame, it could have been an excellent dinner. I ate it, but I didn't leave with my taste buds buzzing. It's certainly not the kind of menu I'd offer a carnivore to change their mind. The Enzo cocktail and the licorice mojito, however, were very good.

21/02/2026: The breakfast was top-notch; the croissants are from a bakery, you can see and taste it. The aperitif was a sore point: I went there recently and was disappointed. Taralli and chips weren't even taken out of their bags, just sitting in little bowls, and when we'd finished drinking and eating the little they'd brought us, the lady came over and asked if we wanted tramezzini. So at this bar, the idea of ​​an aperitif is small pieces of bread with a slice of salami on top, taralli and chips, olives, and tramezzini that arrive late. I was really disappointed. I'll only be back for breakfast.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Everything is carefully crafted, and the quality of the products is excellent. You can sense the care and passion they put into their work. 11/10/2025: This hotel is not as advertised. There is no air conditioning in the offseason. If known prior to booking I would have made reservations at a different accommodation. However this was not communicated in person or online. Our room was at 26 degrees Celsius (79 Fahrenheit) in October which is not acceptable with no circulating air. I placed my complaint with that staff and they assure this would be corrected. However it was not. We were told to open the window (that does not fully open) and to use the fan and that most guests prefer 23 degrees Celsius which is not what it is set at. I will be requesting a full refund due to the fact that there is no air conditioning available during the off season despite advertised amenities. For an accommodation located at the “pearl of the lake” I expected more. Especially considering the price. Save you efforts and book elsewhere.
