Honestly, we understand that they have the raw materials and they also know how to work with them, but evidently speed and the desire to keep prices low have the upper hand... The mussels are 90% overcooked and all withdrawn, only some are cooked right, it almost seems like they were added later. The mixed mussel appetizer is very good, because there are fried ones, shelled ones and also breaded ones which are very good. The spaghetti with seafood is quite good. The service needs to be reviewed a bit, because I had left some focaccia in the bag to eat with the first course, and they took it away thinking the bag was empty: maybe ask.... I smiled zealously. The final price is quite low but the quality is 6 ---. Unfortunately.

25/03/2024: Many choice of delicious cakes and snacks. I bought take away cakes and snacks everyday for the breakfast during my 4 nights stay at La Spezia. Very reasonable price. Friendly service from the owner and the staff. All the cakes and snacks are fresh baked. Only 2 tables are available for dine in. Very recommended.

11/03/2024: We found this restaurant after taking a wrong turn. What a delight - the food was really tasty and the staff were just so friendly.
We both had Pork in beer with apples and prunes. Really delicious and desserts were ice cream with brandy and the most amazing honey, and tiramisu….both so good.
We had wine, beer and coffee too and a limoncello infused with basil, Wow - so nice.
Such good value and the restaurant is adorable - so cosy and quaint. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area.

21/12/2023: Local inside the historic center of Sarzana.
It has covered outdoor and indoor tables.
Saturday evenings are filled with young people, also excellent for having a chat.
In the room there is a very convenient tobacconist.
There were 3 of us for an aperitif, we took 2 spritzes, a coke, a trio and a platter for 3 which the waiter warned us was plenty. The spritzes were in smaller glasses than normal, while the platter was not for three people, it had 2 slices of each type of cold cut, not enough for people, two samples of savory pie and full of not very soft focaccia.
Prices are low.

We had lunch outdoors, considering the mild day; the wait to take a seat can exceed 30 minutes.
I'll start by saying that the prices - which are quite high - are not displayed outside, as required by the regulations. Furthermore, the menu warns that separate accounts are not made, although this option is always provided.
Personally I didn't appreciate the much hyped Spaghetti alla Ciak, due to the imbalance given by the Taggiasca olives.
The grilled swordfish, defrosted, was brought to me raw and was very chewy when chewed.
The mixed fried food, in the photo, proved to be sufficient.
The staff proved to be discreetly courteous but detached.
I conclude that the fortune of a place of this caliber is the location, hardly the quality; in addition to this, the bill turned out to be high compared to what we ordered.
Naturally first and last visit.

06/04/2024: Very good restaurant with a pleasant view. Quality service but not super fast. The first courses (delicious lasagna) have a moderate quantity. Excellent marinated mussels. VERY good tuna tartare with top red fruit accompaniment. The fries are very crispy. The grilled vegetables are bathed in oil and the quantity is too small... For dessert I recommend the tiramisu, it is incredible. The lemon sorbet is famous but too expensive (€6 for a small cup). Please note: €3 cover per person.
I recommend this restaurant for your stopover in Porto Venere!!!

11/10/2023: Domenica passata a Monterosso, abitiamo a due passi Versilia) e veniamo quasi ogni anno in questo periodo per passare una giornata in relax e così sismo capitati per caso in questo ristorante perché principalmente aveva dei posti liberi e noi non avevamo prenotato da nessuna parte.(anche perché ogni anno quando andiamo si va alla ricerca di posti nuovi).Ristorante senza lode ne infamia, cibo nella media, i prezzi un po' cari ma come nella media di questo posto ..
personale non scortese ma forse stanco della stagione, parecchio frettoloso e approssimativo ( non mi soffermo su due episodi accaduti proprio a noi perché può capitare a tutti ma è il come si rimedia che conta)
Darei una stella in meno per la porzione del fritto che al prezzo di 18 euro se non con qualche anello di totano in più almeno con qualche verdura insieme che fa volume e inganna almeno lo stomaco ci voleva ...
