28/05/2025: At least 6 stars. Excellent pastries, whether sweet or focaccia, the option to pay by card. I didn't mind the coffee in a plastic cup - it was good.

26/04/2025: We bought a spectacular pesto from them to take away and a Ligurian rabbit which was a delight!!! Compliments!!! Try it to believe it! The next time we return to Liguria it will certainly be a must to come to you.

03/08/2025: Pedí los espaguetis de marisco e IT fue fácilmente lo mejor que he comido durante todo el viaje. La salsa era exquisita - picante y lleno de almejas, langoustine y gambas con tomates cherry. La pasta también estaba fresca y cocinada a la perfección. Delicioso, de verdad. Ojalá hubiera descubierto el restaurante antes, para poder volver más veces. No puedo recomendar IT suficiente.

27/07/2025: Gran pequeño restaurante en el corazón del casco antiguo de Monterosso, que sirve pasta casera, mariscos frescos y una gran selección de pizzas. Todo estaba delicioso.

21/08/2025: Everything was excellent, from the service to the quality of the coffee and food. Highly recommended for breakfast in La Spezia, especially the cold lattes, which are all delicious.

20/08/2025: Excellent place for breakfast. Their dishes are very original, delicious, and nutritious. As tourists, we come here because the prices and quality are incredible. We were greeted with a friendly attitude, especially by Maximo.

07/09/2025: Unfortunately the fried food was very heavy and I felt sick during the night.

05/09/2025: A simple restaurant on the outskirts of the city, in the shipyard area. I found the service rather slow and the owner unwelcoming. For lunch, we had a mixed fried fish dish that I wasn't happy with (more potatoes and vegetables than fish), a decent mixed mussel appetizer, two apple sorbets, and a half liter of house wine, for a total of €54. Not the best value, especially since a €3 cover charge per person seems excessive for this type of restaurant.

24/08/2025: Worst restaurant EVER! Avoid! Let me sum it up for you: 1) They are scammers, and, 2) They are rude beyond belief. The first part. It seems they have some sort of kickback arrangement with WalkAbout Tours of Florence (which we were with that day) about offering a fixed menu of €17,50 (drinks NOT included). What was included was an “appetizer” course of 5 extra-thin prosciutto and salami slices, and the main course of a tiny portion of the most overcooked pasta with pesto I’ve ever eaten. Needless to say, I was still hungry after. So far, everything can be excused, brushed under the carpet, in the name of having a memorable day. Right? But what came next was unbelievable. After climbing those 382 steps to reach Corniglia in the raging August sun, I was sweaty. So, on arrival at the restaurant, I took a cloth napkin from an unoccupied table to dry myself. No big deal, yes? Wrong. As soon as the lady manager noticed it was missing, her expression darkened. When I saw it, I could swear I felt her medication stop working. On the spot, she barked orders to the personnel to start looking for it. After coming back from the WC, my partner told me that on finding the napkin at my seat, the manageress grilled her about me taking it, that the cloth napkins were exclusively for paying guests (as if we didn’t pay), etc. etc. My reaction was to tell the manageress that I’d give them a very bad review, and her response was to shower me with the best that Italy has to offer in curse words and profanity. Napkin Restaurant, worst experience of our trip. I’m only sorry there isn’t a Zero score I could use for this review.

23/08/2025: My boyfriend and I came to dinner at the restaurant, which was recommended to us by the manager of the Airbnb we were staying at. I want to point out that I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I feel it's necessary sometimes, which was the case here. From start to finish, and with every waiter/waitress we interacted with (three people), we felt like we were bothering the staff. And YET we were polite, saying hello and thank you in Italian, as much as possible so as not to appear rude, even though we don't speak Italian. That's not enough; I think only Italian regulars are actually properly greeted. The waiters were unfriendly to us and terribly nonchalant. We were ignored at the checkout while we were waiting to pay, before being let go without even looking at us, "Just a moment, please." The receipt was THROWED at us on the counter like a common handkerchief. And let's talk about the price... €46 for two primi torfie with pesto, a glass of wine, and a lemon soda. I'm still giving it two stars because, to be honest, the meal was very good and the view is magnificent. But that's not enough to compensate for not feeling welcome. If you hate foreigners, just refuse to welcome them; it'll be easier.

30/08/2025: We weren't particularly happy, to our liking. We received a friendly welcome, but the friendliness soon faded. No one asked if we needed a highchair, and the atmosphere was rather chilly, even though we were very friendly. The food was very tasty, but the surroundings unfortunately didn't suit us personally.

16/08/2025: We had 3 chinotti and 2 cokes. I spent €35. Just for bringing the drinks to the table they doubled the price, DISGRACEFUL!

12/08/2025: On a warm day, we enjoyed a cold drink on the terrace. The service was excellent. The lady spoke English and was friendly.

21/07/2025: Our visit to Trei Canti was a delightful one. They were clearly at full capacity but we were able to find a spot outside. They have a full bar along with an impressive wine selection. We ordered a few excellent glasses of wine with a focaccia, generously topped with pesto and cheese. It was a delicious combination that truly hit the spot. They seemed like a popular spot among the locals. Their staff was friendly and their service was also relatively fast even with a packed restaurant. Its interior design perfectly blends with rustic charm & modern elements. Trei Canti truly offers a wonderful blend of great food, excellent wine, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere.

12/07/2025: Unfortunately, my experience wasn't a positive one. From the start, the welcome was very disappointing: we tried to interact with the staff, but no one seemed to hear us or pay attention. After a short wait, we had to sit alone, given the complete lack of hospitality. We ordered two cocktails, and when it was time to serve, one of the glasses accidentally slipped from the waitress's hand. Mistakes can happen, of course, but the response I received ("At least I didn't get you wet") and the fact that she left the table wet, without even replacing the drink, further conveyed a sense of lack of professionalism and customer service. The table was also dirty and sticky, and my cocktail (a Caipiroska) was truly unpleasant. I'm sorry to have to leave such a negative review, but the sum of these aspects made the experience truly disappointing. Maybe I just had a bad night, but unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back.

30/05/2025: Personale davvero antipatico: la barista si è rifiutata persino di buttar via una busta di plastica rispondendo con tono brusco di andarla a buttare nei bidoni fuori dal locale (ovviamente abbiamo consumato, non siamo entrati solo per quello!) Perfetto per un luogo turistico!

04/09/2025: If you’re tired of eating pasta for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and gaining couple pounds a day, I recommend this great place for salads and Italian poke with smoked salmon, mozzarella, aubergine, basmati rice. They also carry some pasta, burgers, and homemade Pestaroli pasta that is special to the Liguria region, tastier than Trofie and also best with pesto. I am going to try that tomorrow.
