Ristorante Cecio In Vernazza

We had dinner at Cecio, and everything was delicious. The anchovies with lemon were spectacular, but the pistachio tagliolini with scampi were sensational. Highly recommended! I'll be back.

It's the only real restaurant in the area, with a magnificent terrace overlooking the sea, where you can breathe in the air of tradition and the sea. The dishes exude attention to detail and the fresh aromas of the Mediterranean, the fruit of a long-standing tradition. The staff is very friendly and attentive to every need. If you find yourself in Corniglia, you must stop by and try it!

Excellent location in Corniglia, in the picturesque setting of the Cinque Terre, but the overall experience was below expectations. The room was clean but very basic, with minimal amenities. I should point out that a kettle, coffee maker, and TV were not listed in the amenities section, but their absence still impacts the level of comfort. The bathroom also had very limited supplies. Furthermore, our room (on the first floor) did not have curtains and overlooked a passageway between the street and the shared stairs leading to the other rooms: this impacted our privacy and overall comfort. The main issue concerns the luggage storage service, listed in the amenities section: in practice, you are asked to leave your bags unattended outside the restaurant, without any liability on the part of the hotel, or to use an external, paid and unrelated service. This approach is unclear and inconsistent with what is normally expected from a luggage storage service. Furthermore, our room (on the first floor) lacked curtains and overlooked a passageway between the street and the shared stairs leading to the other rooms: this impacted our privacy and overall comfort. Considering the typical slope of the area, even the wording "on-site minimarket" doesn't seem accurate, as amenities are located far away and require walking. The price of approximately €120 per night is in line with the area, but not quite in line with the level of services offered. Dinner at the restaurant was good, but the prices were quite high. I would suggest greater clarity in the description of amenities and greater attention to detail, to avoid expectations that differ from reality. April 4-5, 2026
