17/04/2026: Terrible service from the buffet manager...nice hotel but the staff's attitude is a shame

12/04/2026: Many complain that the hotel isn't a 4-star, perhaps so, but I don't think that's the biggest problem. The rooms are large and very clean, perhaps a bit lacking in routine maintenance. It has a spectacular view and is centrally located. But in my opinion, the worst thing about this hotel is the breakfast. I've never seen such a terrible breakfast, from the unset tables to the truly awful products served. I've never seen such a low-quality breakfast. Croissants look like they were baked three weeks ago, coffee that tastes like anything but coffee. The girls are always very kind. I'm sorry to give it a low rating because the place is worth more, but you can't serve breakfast like this, and definitely not with these products!

27/03/2026: We booked this hotel for 2 nights and had a very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, the road from the Salerno direction was completely closed due to a landslide and roadworks. We reached approximately 500 meters from the hotel, but it was impossible to proceed further – even on foot. Police and firefighters confirmed that access from that direction was not possible. The hotel did not inform us in advance about this, even though it is critical information considering the location and limited access to the property. As a result, we were unable to reach the hotel or check in, and we did not use the accommodation at all. Despite this, the hotel still charged us for the first night. When we contacted the hotel, their response was that the property was “operational” and that we could have walked or taken an alternative route requiring around 2 hours of driving, which was not realistic or feasible in our situation, especially without prior notice. We believe this kind of treatment towards guests is unacceptable. If access to the property is not possible or significantly restricted, guests must be informed in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place based on our experience.

05/04/2026: Nice place, good coffee and excellent aperitif.

08/03/2026: I had a grilled fish (a plaice?). There were still a lot of bones in the fish. And the price was far too high: 30 euros. That's without the side dishes that are usually charged extra in Italy. The dining room, under a kind of covered terrace, was clean but simple, so the ambiance doesn't justify the high price.

16/10/2025: A traditional shop with the best pastries in town. The tiramisu and ice cream are simply heavenly. The owner is very attentive and friendly.

22/10/2025: Quant place, with a good location and a gathering place for locals. What gets me is the constant persistence to rip off the tourists? I am all up for fair prices, but 28€ for two small beers and two small Aperol spritz is not even Majori beach prices and this place is imbedded in the mountains. I won’t go there again and when I like a place I always go back and I am happy to leave money with the locals bars and restaurants. This is just not necessary. Pity it was raining as well, but if the place works for me who cares.

28/09/2025: Very nice place! Friendly staff, great food, nice atmosphere on the townsquare right next to the church. Quiet and not so much tourists. Both locals and tourists who where there.

12/03/2026: Finally, a great selection, including tempura fries, even for those who eat gluten-free! The steamed ravioli and shrimp are delicious; we'll definitely be back!

09/03/2026: We went to Soho Sushi for lunch, and unfortunately, it was the worst experience I've ever had at a sushi restaurant. We arrived around 1:30 PM and immediately placed our first order. After a long wait, only two appetizers and two hot dishes ordered by my father arrived, while all my raw fish dishes never arrived. We continued to wait until 3:20 PM, almost two hours, without our order being completed. It was truly sad and frustrating to have to wait so long for a single order, without ever seeing the dishes we requested arrive. After several reminders to the waitresses, one of them responded rather casually, saying that "since it was crowded, it was normal to wait so long." True... but not that long. Only after another waitress intervened, who finally decided to ask the kitchen, did we see a dish with three portions of uramaki arrive. Too bad they were completely wrong for what we'd ordered. 🤦🏻‍♂️ At that point, exhausted after more than two hours of waiting, we asked for only a few selected dishes to be brought out so we could finish the meal as quickly as possible. Even then, the situation didn't improve: we ordered four courses, but only three arrived, with the wrong ingredients and not meeting our specifications. As for the quality of the food, unfortunately, it was equally disappointing. The rice was stringy, the fish was poorly cut and flavorless, as you can see from the photos, with chunks that were too thick and poorly presented. Even some of the appetizer ingredients, like the plantain chips, were clearly from the bag, which is quite disappointing for a restaurant. The final onigiri, then, was completely devoid of its signature flavor. Instead of the classic compact preparation you can pick up with your hands, it was simply rice shaped into a triangle at the base, a few pieces of seared tuna in the center, and another triangle of rice placed on top. Overall, it was a terrible experience in every way: service, wait time, and food quality. I never thought I'd say this, but it's the worst sushi I've ever had.

24/01/2026: We're passing through for work. The staff is exceptional. A guy who immediately puts you at ease, it almost feels like you've known him forever. Formerly a Valturino, he made us feel right at home!

11/10/2025: TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND SERIOUSNESS 0. I've ordered from this restaurant via Deliveroo twice, and both times, for one reason or another, my order wasn't delivered: the first time, 5 minutes before the scheduled delivery time, with no explanation, the restaurant cancelled my order, and I couldn't place another in time because all the other time slots were booked. The second time, the order wasn't cancelled, but simply left pending for hours. I was forced to cancel it because it was 9:00 (delivery was scheduled for 7:30) and they hadn't even started preparing the order. I'm sure the responsibility lies solely with the restaurant in question, not with Deliveroo, since this is the only restaurant I've encountered this problem with. I OBVIOUSLY WISH TO POINT OUT THAT BOTH TIMES THE PLACE DID NOT ANSWER OUR PHONE CALLS TO PROVIDE CLARIFICATIONS.

16/04/2026: Unfortunately I can't recommend it. Under the name of a cutlet they bring you a minced pre-made product fried in a deep fryer. I see the problem in the disgusting minced meat. It's not worth a visit here.

10/04/2026: At the end of Amalfi's main street, there's a humble but, in my opinion, underrated restaurant. As we walked by, we encountered a very kind and charming man waiting to see if we'd finally decided to go in. There are three restaurants together on that street, and this one was completely empty, which made us suspicious, but we decided to give it a try anyway. The result was very positive; it doesn't deserve its low rating or the fact that it's so quiet. It's not a fancy restaurant, but it offers good food at a more than reasonable price for the area. My only complaint is the fried calamari; the portion was small for the price, in my opinion. Otherwise, it was very good. Very friendly and the food was delicious.

23/10/2025: The location of this restaurant is undoubtedly stunning – which makes it all the more unfortunate that the dining experience didn't live up to it. We each ordered a Parmigiana di melanzane followed by a Tagliatelle funghi. The Parmigiana arrived after a 40-minute wait, without any side dish or bread. Only after asking were we finally handed three slices of toast. The tagliatelle arrived, a second disappointment: a pile of mushy, overcooked pasta. Parmesan is available upon request, but the waiter immediately takes it away. In a country where culinary arts are deeply rooted and food is celebrated with love, tradition, and pride, this experience unfortunately left only bewilderment and disappointment.
