12/02/2026: We had a divine dinner, with local dishes and a dessert to remember... The Babà was the icing on the cake to frame an evening to remember.

08/02/2026: An excellent experience at the Alle Colonne Restaurant/Pub in Caulonia (RC). The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, the staff is friendly and always available...you really feel at home...The pizzas are excellent, with a light dough and quality ingredients, as are the dishes, prepared with care and flavor, especially those from the Caulonia tradition. An ideal place to spend a pleasant evening, and more, with friends. Highly recommended!

07/01/2026: Today I stopped into this pastry shop for the first time to buy some nougat (which I've yet to try). Seeing a display case packed with fresh pastries, I decided to buy four mini torciglioni to have breakfast at home with a coffee. Unfortunately, I have to admit that the torciglioni were terrible: they had a strong smell of oil, and when tasted, they were not only very greasy, but—even worse—they had a distinct taste of used oil, probably used for frying for a long time. From this experience, I reported a strong acidity and burning sensation in my esophagus throughout the day. I understand that mistakes can happen, but this seemed rather serious for a pastry shop that has been in business since 1964. The owner who served me was very kind and helpful; so I hope that, after this review, she can take charge of the situation and ensure that I never find, display, and especially sell, inedible pastries again. The quality and freshness of the ingredients, along with the care taken in their preparation, should be the cornerstone of a pastry shop of this caliber. I hope to return in the future and find pastries that live up to its reputation.

06/01/2026: This restaurant is located just steps from Gambarie's main square. The atmosphere is very quaint and welcoming on cold or snowy days, thanks also to the fireplace. Excellent selection of wines and delicious dishes, from appetizers to dessert. Recommended!

08/01/2026: I went to this bar for a snack and was tempted by a salmon sandwich! I don't usually write reviews, but as soon as I left, I took a bite and the fish smelled and tasted bad, so I spat it out! I thought about going back, so I went back and the kind staff actually exchanged it for me, but the girl at the cashier didn't agree! I understand that in this job you see all sorts of things and I also understand wanting to defend your work but after you smell it and even touch it with your hands to smell it, after I paid you almost 4 euros, there is no way you answer me like this and don't change it for me, I would have preferred you to give me a bottle of water in exchange even if it costs less, a pizza for a euro or a ripassa that we offer you a coffee if you really didn't want to give me the sandwich but now I will have to throw it away and you earned 3.50 and you were rude, I didn't leave it outside only because I'm not uncivilized but it deserved even worse given the rudeness! These things can happen but when a product is not good you change it or at least do something to fix it!! Too bad because the kindness of the guys as soon as I came in I thought how nice, now I'll tell the other guys to come and have a coffee (with a group of 25 people)! But the only thing he did was take the money and that was it! That's not right. I came back to this review, it came to mind for a moment, it's silly, and then I thought (before knowing he'd responded): "Yeah, I'll delete it now. When I worked at the pizzeria, I would have hated getting a bad review. After all, they're businesspeople, humans, they have to work too!" Besides, despite the rudeness, it was silly, and at work they always say "nothing goes, nothing goes," yet his subtly hypocritical response, where he even emphasizes the unique personalities, does nothing but, I'm afraid, confirm his rudeness! I don't take it personally, and I hope this observation of mine can help improve the service! But in the end, the experience was even fun: the surprise sandwich, the kind employees. Let's just say I'll give it an extra star so you can have a laugh too! I wish you good work and all the best!! :)))

15/01/2026: At Torrefazione Due.Zero, I found the owners and staff to be professional, courteous, welcoming, and efficient. The food was excellent, and they paid attention to customer needs. The premises were spotlessly clean, and the atmosphere felt like home. I'm very satisfied.

31/12/2025: Very nice fish oriented restaurant. The food was good, the portions were ok in size. Their "paccheri al bergamotto con pesto de pistachio" were the real highlight which deserves the additional praise. Service was friendly and warm. We liked a lot the decoration of the place. We recommend the reservation as the place looked like very popular among the locals.

31/12/2025: A wonderful experience, one you'll fondly remember. The staff is truly kind and welcoming, making you feel immediately at ease. I chose the mixed seafood appetizer (salmon, tuna, shrimp, scampi, oysters, and sea urchin): top-quality ingredients, with the shrimp simply sumptuous. It's a shame about the sea urchin, however; it was a bit too salty and therefore less enjoyable than the rest. The paccheri with bergamot really deserve a special mention, a refined and well-executed dish. The only real disappointment is the portions, which are unfortunately rather small and leave a slight disappointment. The food prices are overall fair and offer a good quality/price ratio; the only disappointment is the €5 limoncello, which is decidedly excessive for what's on offer. Overall, a high-quality restaurant, with a few small flaws that, if addressed, would make it truly impeccable.

14/02/2026: The Valentine's Day menu was excellent. The service was very friendly. The restaurant was busy, so a reservation seems advisable.

14/02/2026: We enjoyed the Valentine's Day menu. It included a mixed appetizer platter, a plate with two different pasta dishes—one with artichoke sauce and one with mushroom sauce. The main course was roast pork with vegetable gravy and roast potatoes. For dessert, we had tiramisu. Wine, water, and espresso were included. We were pleasantly surprised and found it very delicious.

15/02/2026: A somewhat small place in a less well-maintained area. The counter is spotless and offers a wide selection of puff pastry, classic pastries, and cakes. The puff pastry is very crispy and light, and there are many varieties of croissants, all worth trying.

28/02/2026: Every time I come to Locri, I can't help but stop by Scocchieri. You can always smell the scent of history and authenticity. Super professional!!!
