15/07/2025: We recently visited this cafe and were disappointed. We ordered ice cream for a large group and sat down at a table, but were rudely asked to leave because we didn’t get ice cream in a glass container. Why does this rule only apply to us, when other guests were sitting quietly with disposable cups? It seems that the administration cares more about unrealistic rules than about the comfort of customers. This was not our first, but probably the last visit to this establishment. We hope that the cafe will review its policies so as not to lose customers in the future.

15/07/2025: The gelato here is truly delicious, and for several days we've come here to buy some for the kids in the afternoon. Today we returned with some friends. We bought six gelatos (small and large) and sat at a table. As you can see in the photo, the tables were empty. A waiter approached us and literally chased us away, saying that to sit at the table you have to order gelato in a glass (as he said). I'm sure we spent more for our six gelatos than, for example, the four people sitting next to us who shared a single gelato. I've never been kicked off a table at an gelato shop; it was truly unpleasant. We finished our gelato sitting on the sidewalk, to avoid the kids eating it while walking and getting dirty. It ruined our mood. We definitely won't be returning.

Seeing her is like coming home. And then there is that unique atmosphere, the one that only a place with years of history can have. From 6 pm until late at night, especially in the summer, this pub is a safe haven even in the most desperate moments of nighttime hunger – word of my daughter, who goes out with friends and knows she can always count on that good, fast, and humanely priced sandwich. Every time I return to Scalea, it is a fixed stop. And every time, it is as if time stops for a moment. Because there are places that are not forgotten. And people like Peppino who make these places unforgettable.

08/05/2025: We stayed with our family over the long weekend of April 25th, the food wasn't the best, as was the staff who aren't very attentive to needs, at most it might be good for kids because it has lower prices than other places

24/04/2025: Qualità del caffè senza infamia né lode...servizio "scontroso", l'empatia o meglio la gentilezza non albergano in questo luogo. Proprietario (?) alla cassa sprezzante, probabilmente, perché ho pagato 2 caffè con la carta. Non mi viene rilasciato lo scontrino. La storicità del posto non potrà mai colmare la mancanza di professionalità...probabilmente bisogna aspettare altri 200 anni. Ritornerò e vi saprò dire... PS. non mi meraviglia la recensione in cui si racconta come un avventore è stato invitato ad abbandonare il tavolo

11/05/2025: Breathtaking view of the famous Paola Ts. 90s style location that still looks great. The first courses are good, especially the "Maria Teresa" trofie and the grill is good (26 euros). The starter seemed a little lackluster to me. Everything else ok!

09/06/2025: Terrible experience, they make you pay for the cakes in advance because there are surprises in the price, I took a 4 kg cake they made it wedding style with very high tiers, 4 kg of sugar paste cake with just a few flowers I paid 230 euros, they told me that the prices have increased, but when I went to order they told me that it was 30 euros per kg. Really unfair, terrible final surprise, there was a piece of plastic in the cake given to a guest and the taste was really bad. Terrible experience. Never again!

12/05/2025: You can only enjoy a good coffee when the kids are present, because in other cases the coffee is rancid, has a burnt taste and causes catastrophic effects on the stomach. Maybe they should learn to bleed the machine between one coffee and another... without taking anything away from the older generation

02/01/2025: Impossibile continuare ad andare. Una pasta 3,00 €. Non si vedono i prezzi perciò mi sono fatta incartare 3 paste,in cassa ho pagato 9,00 €. Non sarà più possibile comprare il tradizionale vassoio della domenica. Ma dove siamo arrivati? E la qualità non è il massimo...
