The quality of the products and dishes always lives up to expectations, with tasty and beautifully presented dishes. Special praise goes to the chef, who demonstrates passion, creativity, and attention to detail in every course.
Compliments also to the entire staff: professional, friendly, and always available, they make every customer feel welcome. Impeccable service and a relaxed atmosphere.

31/05/2026: Very nice and clean bar and good food, but the service was very poor. I asked for sparkling water twice and was brought still. When I asked for a change, the clerk said, "Look at this girl, she didn't ask me for one." I then went over to her and politely told her I had asked, but instead of apologizing, she said "OK" and gave me a dirty look. I went to pay, and despite everything, I thanked her and said goodbye, and she didn't even say "you're welcome" or "good morning."
This is no way to welcome customers. I would have gone back for breakfast, but after this poor experience, no way.
Everyone can make mistakes in life or be distracted, but the word "sorry" exists, something that many people in the business world don't know. They only work for money and don't care about customers in the slightest.
It's a shame about the beautiful place.

06/07/2026: Good evening. I must admit that it would have been better if you had limited yourself to the first two lines of your response: they might have been much more appreciated.
However, I would like to clarify a few things. Mine wasn't a mere hypothetical request, as the menu includes the option to add a double burger. I invite you to double-check it carefully (I'm attaching a photo of the menu where the option is listed).
Regarding the sweet pizza, it was a small pan, divided into eight wedges, of which a single slice was served for €5. If you think this is a fair price, I invite you to publicly disclose the weight of the dough for the pan, its diameter, how many pieces it is divided into, and, above all, if you wish, how much it costs you to produce it. Doing a little math, a pan with Nutella would cost €40 (€5 x €8), which, in my opinion, seems excessive.
As for the "unusual" price, we were never told. We were simply offered several times to try it split between four, but we never would have thought such a small dessert could cost 10 euros.
Another thing: the diameter of the burgers was also quite small, and considering the meat was completely smashed, I invite you to also include the weight of the meat in the bun.
Finally, a burger with only cheddar (from a large retailer) and smoked bacon (from a large retailer) can be considered a classic in my opinion, and the price of 17 euros cannot be explained in any way.
My review was not intended to offend the restaurant, the staff, or the quality of the ingredients. I simply expressed an opinion on the quality-price ratio, which every customer has the right to evaluate.
It is unfortunate, however, to read a sarcastic response and the reference to "canteens," because I believe a polite criticism deserves an equally polite response. I am convinced that a restaurant confident in its work doesn't need to respond in this way to a customer who simply expressed their experience.
05/07/2026: DON'T GET THE DOUBLE HAMBURGER...
Let me start by saying that this is meant as constructive criticism, not offensive.
The quality of the food is good, but in my opinion, it's not commensurate with the prices. We added the double burger option, but the cost wasn't communicated to us, nor was it listed on the menu. Only when we got the bill did we discover that a classic double burger cost €17.
The prices of some other items also seemed high: 6 pieces of chicken for €7, and for dessert, we were offered a "realistic hazelnut," served quartered, for €10, but it was very small. The dessert pizza with Nutella, on the other hand, cost €5 for a very small slice.
In the end, we spent €34 each, not including beer: burger, fries, Coke, and dessert. With a 0.4-liter beer, we could have easily reached around €40 per person. While the food is good, we believe the value for money does not justify spending this amount.

02/11/2025: The place feels warm and welcoming, yet has a very vintage feel. Our last guest arrived at 9 PM, and after ordering shortly thereafter, we were served appetizers at 10 PM and main courses at approximately 10:40 PM, after everyone had ordered the same course: a platter and mixed roast. The restaurant manager/owner was friendly and polite, but the waitress who served us was a bit too casual. I'll start by saying that I'm all for simplicity and cheerfulness, especially in the village, but let's avoid describing dishes to customers with food still in their mouths, and above all, let's remember to bring drinks if the place is half-empty. Luckily, the cured meats and meat were truly delicious, although after the long wait, we would have preferred slightly larger portions for the bill. I'd avoid classifying half a potato per person as a side dish and charging so much for it, because despite the quality of the food, the timing, the service, and the size of the portions, at a whopping €33, made this experience forgettable and unrepeatable. Silvi Alta is a beautiful place, but like many towns in Abruzzo, it clearly needs to learn how to treat its guests. If we continue like this, we can forget about tourism, and I say this as a proud Abruzzese.

19/05/2026: I ordered the cake for my daughter's first communion, a classic sponge cake with Chantilly cream. Imagine our surprise when, eager to try the famous Camplone cake, we savored a semifreddo. The guests thought it was frozen, but in reality it was our cake that had arrived frozen at the restaurant. It was a surprise for everyone, not just the guests. I was expecting a fresh cake. Someone left it on the plate. I was deeply disappointed.
I regret not taking a photo. And I regret not being able to respond to your kind reply. The cake was cold to the palate, the raspberries were hard, as was the cream; it seemed more like ice cream than cake. It didn't have the soft consistency of cream at all. It was hard to cut. I didn't ask not to soak the cake in liqueur, but you suggested it (given the presence of children), and I accepted trustingly. An hour before 1:30 PM, we were already there at the restaurant.
05/05/2026: This historic pastry shop and café, located opposite the Cathedral of San Cetteo, is elegant and refined. The atmosphere is refined, with tables to sit at and a beautiful display case, constantly updated and filled with artisanal products; it's the ideal place for breakfast, snacks, aperitifs, or a coffee break.
Quality is its true strength: excellent pastries and gelato, and, in my opinion, the best gelato in the city, thanks to unique flavors like Atri licorice, scracchetta, cinnamon, millefeuille, and bocconotto, in addition to the classics. The cream is also good, but the cone could be improved (the wafer is subpar, in my opinion).
The cakes are excellent, both the classic and modern ones. Mr. Camplone uses classic recipes (there's always a bit of alcohol in the creams; if you don't like it, let him know); the fragrant butter croissants are reminiscent of French patisserie, and the custard is still handmade, not with pre-made ingredients.
The offerings are rounded out by generous leavened products such as panettone, decorated chocolate eggs, and a wide selection of savory buffets: a benchmark that combines tradition, quality, and style.
Prices match the quality.

28/12/2025: So I have very few five star reviews that I've been able to award and I think this was perhaps the easiest five star I've given, and in addition, this is one of only five that I've marked as a favourite for myself. Unconstructively, I have absolutely no notes, the food, the atmosphere, the music, the service was all fantastic. I'm only sad that I don't live nearby.
As a brief note on the food; several of the dishes dilived a beautifully robust smoked and charred flavour, but amazingly never overpowered or distracted from the dish and served only to compliment it!
