The welcome is warm and cheerful, yet not intrusive, like the service. The seasonal menu is carefully crafted, without overwhelming the number of courses, highlighting local traditions. Meticulous preparations in the kitchen are transformed into tasty and succulent dishes at the table. The veal with tuna sauce is superb, and the guinea fowl leg is excellent. The desserts are exceptional. The wine list is interesting, with a focus on regional wines. Reservations are recommended.

08/06/2026: I'm in Celano for health reasons. Before being hospitalized, I was curious to try some typical local products, so I searched online for a restaurant. The Locanda della Madonna delle Vigne immediately appeared. Looking at some photos, I was intrigued by the place, so I decided to book. Access to the inn is via a staircase in an alley with a breathtaking view. We were greeted by Mr. Sandro, a very helpful, empathetic, and welcoming person. Sitting at the table, we looked at the à la carte menu, choosing for one an appetizer of mutton skewers with white onion and chickpeas, to say the least 😋 delicious. Then we ordered cured meats and cheeses. I was amazed. 🤩 2 first courses: gnocchi with venison ragù, which were good, but the pappardelle with sausage, saffron, and truffle were a delight for the palate. 😍 Excellent service Beautiful serving dishes, the cheeses served with fantastic fruit pairings. He delighted us with two cheeses that unfortunately I don't remember the name of, but I will always remember the taste 😍🤩😋😋😋. All this including coffee and water, €65. Blessed are you for all the delights we received... Thank you, thank you, I will definitely be back.

02/06/2026: Fresh fish and ever-changing ideas for pairing it with different dishes, depending on whether you're talking raw, hot, or cold. Specifically, we sampled complete appetizers with oysters and noteworthy raw fish, smoked spaghetti with Normandy butter, anchovy sauce and bottarga, and to finish, a crispy, dry fried fish. The Trebbiano wine from an Abruzzo winery was paired with the dish. The price was absolutely competitive and in line with what we tasted.

09/08/2026: A truly welcoming place, with always helpful and courteous staff. The highlight is undoubtedly the liver and onion arrosticini: a true specialty, a must-try for anyone who comes here! Regarding the culinary offerings, the ingredients are of unquestionable quality, but there are some details that need to be tweaked: the classic arrosticini deserve a more robust cooking to bring out their best, while the supplì and desserts seemed less focused and in need of a thorough review, as did the prices, which aren't exactly affordable for everyone. The only real criticism is the management of the dining room during peak times: a few more resources would be needed at the tables, as the wait just to order can sometimes be excessive. Overall, a good experience, with very clear room for improvement that would make the place truly excellent.

06/08/2026: I rediscovered the flavors of home here. Handmade arrosticini like in the old days, delicious cacio e ove meatballs, and a spectacular tiramisu. I'll definitely be back for the courtesy and quality of the food.

15/08/2026: We had dinner here and had a great time. For appetizers, we had bruschetta with marinated anchovies and confit tomatoes, and a seafood salad. For the first course, we had marinara risotto, and for the second course, fried calamari, scampi, and shrimp, served with a side of baked potatoes. Everything was truly delicious. The service was excellent and very fast. The place is simple, but clean and welcoming. The background music was discreet and very pleasant. We left satisfied and surprised by the price: very fair. Highly recommended!!!

31/05/2026: Remarkable, even better than I expected from the reviews I'd read. The hot appetizers were exquisite, homemade in the best sense of the word, and the ventricina arrosticini were top notch. The more ordinary mutton ones were also good. The prices were very fair, clearly leaving aside the premium meats, which already have their price tag as raw materials.

03/05/2026: Small place, but worth a stop. Traditional cuisine with imaginative twists. Reservations are required, but there are only a few tables. Attentive and friendly staff. A variety of dishes are available, all of which we found to be flavorful and tasty. The price is fair. A solid experience, one we'll repeat.

30/04/2026: We went to Giocondo and had a fantastic experience! The place is intimate, very quaint, and well-organized. There's a small price to pay: you have to park a bit outside and walk through the alleys to get there, but it's absolutely worth it. The staff is very friendly, and the welcome gift (excellent bread and pecorino cheese) is a lovely touch. We had a platter and a grilled meat: everything was super fresh, local, and had that old-fashioned flavor. If you're looking for substance and courtesy, you're in the right place. Highly recommended!

09/08/2026: I was there three years ago, and all the appetizers were very good. One of the two first courses I ordered was very, very salty, and the second courses weren't worth the price. I recommend focusing on the appetizers.

13/08/2026: We are on holiday in Abruzzo and we stopped here for dinner. The mixed fried meat and pizza are spectacular. The setting is wonderful, surrounded by greenery. The staff is friendly and kind. There is a bit of a wait for service, but it is worth it. Excellent quality and price. Reservations are required.

04/03/2026: A wonderful and pleasant surprise! Everything you expect when you eat out. A welcoming restaurant, excellent service, and food where the quality of the ingredients truly shines. Without overcomplicating things, they achieve a beautiful presentation, pleasing to both the palate and the eye. The combination of quantity and quality is perfect. We tried the charcuterie board and two very tender and juicy cuts of meat—I can't even take a picture because everything was so delicious I forgot to. This is a restaurant I'd put in every town in the world so I could return to it wherever I went. My congratulations to the owner and staff!
