28/03/2024: We ordered mussels marinara, we received mussels Tarantina style (I wouldn't even call them that in reality), the mussels didn't have the slightest flavour, it felt like we were eating paper, the sauce, red, tasted like water and cream. We then took two first courses, both with very raw pasta, we sent them back and they brought them back to us after 5 minutes hot but still raw in the same way, moreover they were bland and the fish didn't have a great flavour, I would never go back there again. Friendly waiter.

28/12/2023: Kann man sich auf die Bewertungen des Michelin-Führers Italien überhaupt noch verlassen? Jüngstes Beispiel: das Restaurant Oseleta im Hotel Villa Cordevigo am Gardasee, ausgezeichnet mit einem Michelin-Stern. Wir waren an Heilig Abend dort und wollten einen ruhigen, angenehmen Abend verbringen. Es wurde allerdings der stressigste Restaurantbesuch aller Zeiten. Von der Restaurantleiterin wurde uns ein Fischmenü für € 125 Euro pro Person angeboten, das wir gerne bestellten. Es begann mit einem winzigen Stück Scampi, das in Honig mariniert wurde. Tatsächlich überwog jedoch der penetrante Fischgeruch, der uns vermuten ließ, dass dieses Stückchen wohl nicht mehr ganz frisch war. Zudem wurde der „Scampo“ lauwarm serviert. Kann ja mal passieren, dachten wir. Dann folgte ein Spanferkel-Braten mit schwarzem Trüffel, der uns dann doch einigermaßen ratlos machte: Was soll Schweinefleisch in einem Fischmenü? Schnell behob man den Fehler, sprach von Missverständnissen und brachte schließlich mit Krebsfleisch gefüllte Nudeln, die jedoch leider auch wieder nur lauwarm bis kalt an unserem Tisch ankamen. Jetzt waren wir dann schon sehr nahe an der Frustationsgrenze und fragten vorsichtshalber vorher nach, was man als nächste Überraschung vorgesehen hatte? Die Antwort: „Linguina“ mit „Trippa di Baccala“. Also schon wieder Nudeln, diesmal aber mit irgendwelchen Innereien vom Kabeljau. Das mag vielleicht eine italienische Spezialität sein, erfüllte aber gar nicht unsere Erwartungen an ein Fischmenü in einem Sterne-Restaurant. Wir lehnten ab, so dass man uns ein Stück Seezunge in Kichererbsen-Püree servierte. Das war in Ordnung: frisch und sogar heiß serviert, aber bei weitem kein geschmacklicher Höhenflug. Es folgte der Hauptgang: „Triglia in salsa romesco“. Klingt gut, war aber wieder schlecht gemacht: Der Fisch (Rotbarbe) roch und schmeckte eigenartig streng, war womöglich nicht frisch. Jetzt war für uns „finito“. Wir brachen dieses zweifelhafte Vergnügen ab, verzichteten auf die Nachspeise und wollten nur noch so schnell wie möglich raus aus diesem Gourmettempel. Vorher servierte man uns allerdings noch die Rechnung: 250 Euro plus Getränke. Man hatte uns also tatsächlich den vollen Preis für diese kulinarische Peinlichkeit berechnet. Mag sein, dass dieses Restaurant (laut der Beschreibung im Michelin-Führer) schon bessere Tage hatte – die haben wir aber offenbar verpasst.

20/11/2023: Abbiamo soggiornato presso la Villa Cordevigo che ospita la struttura. Un ristorante con stella Michelin che ci ha fatto sognare con un menù degustazione ricco di sapori ed emozioni abbinato da vini provenienti dalle loro cantine. Il servizio impeccabile, cortese e discreto. Complimenti veramente. Un’esperienza indimenticabile.

19/12/2023: This pizzeria is more than a pizzeria - it offers the full Italian restaurant menu of pasta and meat and fish dishes as well. It is not fancy, just a down to earth, no nonsense Italian neighbourhood place dispensing good food at good prices. We arrived relatively early on a Saturday night, and had no trouble getting a table, but later on the place was packed. This being such a highly praised pizzeria, we did what we hardly ever do - we ordered a pizza each, rather than sharing one. A Gorgonzola one for me, topped with enough of my favourite cheese to give it a lovely tang. And a veggie Valentina with lots of fresh, slightly bitter rocket and generous shavings of good Parmesan. Both were excellent, with a thin crisp base, and a good crust. A half bottle of a premium Valpolicella went down a treat. As had become a habit whilst in Verona, we finished with tiramisu, another yummy pleasure! Service was brisk, not overly friendly, but efficient and polite. And prices were as modest as the appearance of this pizzeria, but the quality and tasty were fabulous. Our total bill before tip (there is no service charge, just a small amount for the ‘coperto’) was EUR38.50.

11/11/2023: Eravamo a verona a fare una girata, e siamo andati a cena di sabato sera, senza prenotare ci hanno subito trovato un posto,ci siamo trovati molto bene, posto accoglie e alla mano. La cameriera k prende gli ordini è bravissima e veloce. Complimenti

05/04/2024: From the outside the restaurant looked quite nice. It has a great location on Lake Garda and is centrally located in the town of Bardolino. Unfortunately the atmosphere wasn't that good as it was very cramped overall. I ordered a carpaccio as a starter. Unfortunately it wasn't that good because the meat wasn't tender (very tough). The pizza that followed was better but still not satisfactory because the champions looked very slimy and weren't tasty or fresh.

13/01/2024: Fantastic restaurant. Suggestive location and excellent cuisine. The wine cellar is up to par with the dishes and the service is impeccable. In the evening it is truly magical with its soft lights and live music on summer evenings. One of my absolute favorite places

29/12/2023: Amazing dining experience in a hidden gem off the beaten path of Lake Garda near Torri del Benaco. I had the menu “Un territorio da Scoprire” with 8 dishes. It’s expensive (140 EUR/menu) but everything was great: super fresh ingredients, sometimes even from their garden, perfect cooking, mix of different textures, homemade bread,… It’s my second visit and I will definitely come back.

10/12/2023: Abbiamo festeggiato in questa location per il nostro matrimonio, ci siamo innamorati della Casa degli Spiriti dal primo momento che l’abbiamo visitata, Sara e Federico 2 persone fantastiche che hanno saputo esaudire ogni nostro desideri. Sara ha sopportato ogni mia paturnia e crisi trovando sempre la soluzione migliore ❤️. Ha reso il nostro matrimonio indimenticabile ❤️. Non ci sono troppi “grazie” per tutto questo ❤️❤️
