02/01/2026: We had two dinners at this restaurant in the center near the church; the welcome was warm and the service excellent. We ordered seconds because we were so satisfied. Recommended.

14/01/2026: We had dinner here. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The soup alone could have been a main course. My medium-rare roast beef with onions was cooked to perfection and very tender. The side dishes were also okay, but with the soup, it was a bit too much. All in all, a very good dinner that was worth the price. By the way, the prices aren't high. Highly recommended.

18/08/2025: We visited the Pienzenau Restaurant in Merano on a balmy summer evening last week and were thrilled from the start. The stunning location, nestled between the vineyards and the old town of Merano, impressed us. The magnificent garden surrounding the property is a true gem and invites you to linger.
Our seat on the terrace offered a wonderful view of the property and garden – a perfect setting for a special evening. The hostess and her team welcomed us warmly, immediately creating a familiar and homely atmosphere.
Culinary delights left nothing to be desired: We enjoyed a fantastic three-course menu that will remain with us forever. The taste, quality, and presentation were of the highest standard. The team was also perfectly prepared for my gluten-free requests – without any prior notice. We would especially like to mention the young ladies in the waiting room – incredibly attentive, courteous, and always warm.
All in all, it was an evening we will cherish for a long time to come. One thing's for sure: We'll be back! And next time, we'll take the opportunity to stay at the Hotel Pienzenau.

10/08/2025: Unbelievable gem on the way to Trautmannsdorf by foot. Stop here. Best carbonara of our lives. Other menu items looked sublime too when arriving on other tables. Super wines and service. Lush gardens. A real haven <3

10/10/2025: A beautiful, secluded spot, away from the big huts. Fantastic Kaiserschmarren (sweet pancakes), friendly people, and the gentle tinkling of cowbells… we'd love to come back!

15/11/2025: The nice thing about this place is the view, the furniture and the chestnuts. Service is very slow. I am intollerant to gluten and asked for a second without the knödel and made sure that everything else was without flour and yet they brought the meal with the knödel. Since I didn't want to make a fuss about it, i just picked up the parts that didn't touch the knödel. I wouldn't recommend it.

22/12/2025: We weren't impressed with the quality of the pizzas; yes, they are very large... the service was average and the atmosphere was okay. Unfortunately, there's no parking due to space limitations.

03/03/2025: Arriviamo senza prenotazione ma ci dicono che c’è posto. Il tavolo però non è di nostro gradimento essendo sul passaggio vicino alla cucina. Ci fanno quindi salire nella sala al primo piano. Dopo 30 minuti arrivano le bevande e dopo altri 30 minuti 1 primo che abbiamo diviso perché si erano sbagliati e un secondo. Dopo altri 15 minuti l’altro primo e l’altro secondo. I primi discreti (canederli) mentre lo stinco aveva la parte esterna durissima ( troppo secca ) e di conseguenza l’interno un po’ asciutto. L’altro secondo una cotoletta alla viennese con le patate di contorno bruciate. Al momento di pagare si sono dimenticati due piatti che per correttezza abbiamo fatto notare e inserire nel conto .Le note positive : ci hanno offerto il digestivo e il ragazzo al servizio cercava di fare il meglio che poteva per sopperire alla sua inesperienza. La birra una garanzia.
07/02/2025: Ieri sera sono stata con mio marito a cena, ci siamo trovati benissimo 🥰il cibo strepitoso accompagnato dalla gentilezza è stata un ottima esperienza che consiglio a tutti.
