20/12/2024: Absurd waiting times!!! Over 2 hours to get served. Too disorganized. The waiters keep telling you that the dishes are being prepared while they have no idea what is happening in the kitchen. Evidently the kitchen is not sized with the capacity of the room.

10/12/2024: A really nice quiet place to have lunch. Carbonara (typical Roman) absolutely cannot be missing. But the tiramisu is also delicious. The staff made an excellent impression, always ready to listen, in a polite, kind and never intrusive manner. Top food! Top hygienic environment. Absolutely recommended!

08/12/2024: We decided to celebrate a birthday and to say that we had a good time is an understatement. An efficient service and a welcoming environment that puts you at ease. We tried other Roman cuisines in two other cities near Selargius, and we didn't like anything. But here at the Roman tavern in Selargius everything is super good, the fried foods are not greasy, the Ascolana style olives send you into ecstasy, the pasta "la calamarata alla zozzona" is an ecstasy for the palate..... the carbonara what can I say. ....there's nothing for anyone.....the courgette flowers filled with infinite goodness, even the fried cod that's too good, and the chicory that I tried to make at home here, they are really super.......the portions are generous, even too much so..... But it's good company... little by little you eat everything..... giving a 10 as a rating is too low... .. it's a place where a family with friends can enjoy lunch or dinner in peace and at very modest prices. Compliments to the staff and the restaurateur. An invaluable meeting point here in Selargius...

12/10/2024: I was there for dinner on October 1st, 2024. Unfortunately I was confused by the good reviews. I reserved a table and was politely greeted by the owner and shown to my table. The atmosphere is quite cozy and the order was taken quickly. So much for the positive part of the evening. The quality of the food is below average: the tuna tastes like it came from a can, the octopus menu consists of a tiny leg garnished with four dots of sweet potato puree including a fingerprint and the baked potatoes were lukewarm and soggy. There was no advice on which wine would go with the meal. All of this would still be somehow tolerable if it weren't for the endless waiting times. There was a wait of well over an hour between the starter and the main course. The mineral water we ordered was completely forgotten. In the meantime I was thinking about putting the money on the table for the starter and leaving. At the next table the situation was even worse. After half an hour we were still waiting for the drinks. Overall, you get the feeling that communication within the team isn't working. The boss tries very hard, but takes the orders on a pad of paper while the employees work digitally. Overall, everything seems very uncoordinated: The boss asks if you want dessert even though you are still waiting for the main course. One table had already finished all 3 courses, even though it came after me... Overall, a very strange atmosphere in the restaurant. Gallows humor between the waiting tables while the service staff walked around haphazardly in the kitchen. The best days of this restaurant are probably in the past.

17/10/2024: Staff very professional and nice, also interior nice. However we had fish plate for two (55 €) but was very ordinary. The taste was very pure without any special spices. A bit salt amd garlic. I mean.. it was good but nothing special. In the end the receipt was 80 € for our dinner for 2 persons but I don't think it was worth it. We had better food for cheaper price elsewhere..

12/10/2024: I can only give 5 stars to this restaurant. Excellent service, with very kind and knowledgeable people. The food was delicious, luckily with vegetarian offerings. The beef my boyfriend ate was superb and my pasta with vegetable sauce was also delicious. We also got a taste of the mixed cheeses and the tiramisu. The wine very good and also the myrtle. Definitely a place to return to and to recommend. Not to mention the terrace and the interior, which are truly special. As for the price, I consider it more than fair: we ate and spent time much better than the majority of the restaurants we went to in recent weeks, traveling along the east coast of the region. Thanks for everything ❤️

02/09/2024: Localino simpatico con 🎶 musica interessante gruppi rock che si isibiscono con la miglior musica di tutti i tempi Peccato il servizio di scarsa professionalità I drink vengono serviti presentati un bicchiere di plastica colmi di ghiaccio naturalmente il prezzo non adeguato considerando che i bicchieri di plastica sono i classici bicchieri l'acqua. Peccato che si siano persi in un nulla!!
