We arrived with two German shepherds and they didn't "sciati" (worried) to put it in Genoese terms. We had two pairs of appetizers each, Fassona tartare with summer truffle and cooked and raw porcini mushrooms with a currant reduction. We hadn't eaten so well in a long time. 28/06/2025: To start -The English menu was awkwardly worded with many grammatical errors -The ‘risotto’ if we can even call it that was rank: I was hoping to taste the horseradish and have half a dozen shrimp : like their website picture -one shrimp cut into quarters , vinegar added : ‘ to counteract the horseradish taste ‘ ?!? SWIMMING in a weird broth NOT RISOTTO- CALL IT SOMETHING ELSE- it was topped with a weird white foam that resembled what my dog brings up when he is finished vomiting - so much vinegar added - inedible - was also hoping for an outside seat with a view - even with a reservation put into a corner of their past barn : the servers were kind and was offered a bottle of ‘condolences’: - still paid for the risotto though - they should stick to making wine -
11/06/2025: A very beautiful place with an incredible view of the sunset over the valley. But the main highlight is the food, of course - everything is done just right. The risotto carrots shrimp is delicious, and the roasted tongue from the first courses is excellent. Local wines from the winery pair perfectly with all dishes. Great service. Definitely worth coming back, and more than once. Be sure to book a table in advance!

11/05/2025: Locale sporco e puzzolente, sia nella parte più esterna che in quella interna la sala è pervasa da un odore acre e quasi insopportabile considerando che bisogna consumare dei pasti. Menù scarno e con poca scelta, quasi tutti gli alimenti sono surgelati. Ho optato per un tagliere di salumi tanto per mangiare qualcosa. Ristorante non scelto da me e sinceramente non lo avrei mai scelto.
24/04/2025: Predisposizione dei posti molto semplice come si addice al locale. Pochi fronzoli, molta sostanza. Primo con verdure delizioso e arrivato finalmente molto caldo di modo che lo si possa gustare sempre alla giusta temperatura! Un dolce delizioso allo zabaglione anch'esso caldo con una panna superba. Una bottiglia di spumante La Scolca perfetto e ad un prezzo praticamente pari all'enoteca. Affabile il proprietario, sa intrattenere i clienti. Ottimo!

The location is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful nature, making it the perfect escape from the city. The villa itself is charming and elegant, with well-preserved historical architecture and tasteful decor.
The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. My room was spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean, with a lovely view of the garden. I also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast – fresh, delicious, and served in a beautiful setting.
This hotel is a hidden gem, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and refined stay in the Italian countryside. I will definitely return!

23/01/2025: Torniamo dopo molto tempo in questo locale famoso per il suo fritto misto piemontese. Che ritroviamo sempre di ottima qualità (forse questa volta servito un pelino freddo). La presenza di una sola cameriera (servizio lento in generale) non giustifica. Mi metto comunque nei panni di questa ragazza che di più non poteva fare… Buoni gli antipasti è il vino locale. Lascio comunque le 5 stelle

29/12/2024: Pessima esperienza. Attirato dalle recensioni positive, siamo stati ieri sera a cenare con amici. Il ristorante si compone di più ambienti separati tutti con accesso dall'esterno. Questo ha fatto si che ogni volta che un cameriere entrasse per servire l'aria gelida di dicembre lo accompagnasse allegramente e nulla poteva la barriera di aria calda sparata dal soffitto. Passando al cibo del menù fisso obbligatorio, antipasto servito in 4 gusci di conchiglia per piatto, stile anni 80. Senza infamia o lodi, ma in seguito scopriremo essere il meglio di tutta la cena. Seguito da una "badilata" di trofie con cozze e poche vongole e schegge di gusci qua e là direttamente dalla padella ai piatti. I secondi abbondanti in quantità, ma anche scarsissimi in qualità avrebbero voluto essere una frittura ed una grigliata di pesce. Mal fritto, mal cotto, mal conservato e chissà forse anche mal congelato... al primo boccone ho lasciato tutto nel piatto. La cena si è conclusa con mandarini, noci e sorbetto!!! In conclusione il top della cena... un ottimo caffè. Conclusione in bellezza, 7 crodini, 7 menù, acqua e vino bianco dozzinale per la modica spesa di 50 euro a persona. Non abbiamo potuto conoscere prima la spesa in quanto nessun menù è stato fornito in visione ne tantomeno la lista allergeni. Un plauso al personale di sala, comunque gentile ed educato. Alla cassa risposte dai toni supponenti e velatamente arroganti alle nostre rimostranze per i vari disagi. Mai più Alen!!! Specialità no comment!!!
