14/01/2026: I was in Sorrento on an organized trip, and I happened upon this restaurant by chance with some of my fellow travelers. The owner greeted us very warmly, saying he'd offer us both wine and bruschetta. We thought it was yet another tourist trap, where they sit you down and then charge you for everything, but they were true to their word: decent wine, excellent bruschetta, and delicious main courses, all reasonably priced (the seafood risotto was €20, which was also delicious). Highly recommended, especially for its excellent location; if I were to return to this beautiful town, I'd definitely know where to have lunch.

07/01/2026: I visited Sorrento yesterday for lunch:
We ordered gnocco alla sorrentina and tagliolini al nero with zucchini flowers and shrimp.
The quality of the product was excellent; both dishes were made with fresh pasta.
The atmosphere was very elegant and clean, and the service was prompt and precise. Highly recommended.

28/10/2025: It was absolutely outrageous! We only had a light lunch since we weren't very hungry – we shared three dishes. At the end, they charged us an extra €3 per person as a service charge, so a total of €12 for four people, and then another 10% service charge on top of that (another €12).
When I asked why the service charge was doubled, they said one was for "taxes" and the other for the staff. So, basically, €24 in tips – completely excessive! Never again will I fall into such a tourist trap!

06/01/2026: Great location right by the sea — absolutely perfect in January. The atmosphere is calm and authentic. The tuna pasta and fried anchovies were amazing, truly delicious. Homemade wine was also very good. Highly recommended!

L'Orangerie poolside bar & restaurant

13/09/2025: Everything about our experience at l'Orangerie was excellent! The ambiance begins as you approach the restaurant through the the pool area warmly illuminated with candles. We are reminded of the deep history of this special place as we pass by a small section of exposed ancient Roman ruins upon which the Hotel was built. The restaurant staff was highly professional, kind and very attentive. Equally high praise to the Chef and the entire kitchen team for the preparation and presentation of a fantastic culinary experience that pleased us on every level. Grazie mille l'Orangerie!!
30/08/2025: The food was mediocre at best! Service was really bad!
We got the vegetarian pasta which was slightly undercooked and the fish with potatoes which was tasting ok but a little chewy.
The overall service was horrible! We had 3 different servers asking us for food and each of them had no idea what we had ordered so it was a chaos. It showered last night which is not their fault and to be be fair they moved us to a covered space but only after insisting a few times. There was light flickering on the side which spoilt the whole "vibe" of the "fancy" restaurant.
The complimentary bread which we got felt "stale" and "chewy". I would expect to get fresh warm bread when I am paying so much price for the food.
They seem to make the food and experience so "pricey" but the experience which they offer in return is terrible!
Would not recommend again.

03/07/2025: Sono stato in questo ristorante e ho provato gli agnolotti: semplicemente spettacolari. La pasta fresca, il ripieno saporito e il condimento perfettamente bilanciato hanno reso il piatto indimenticabile. Servizio cordiale e atmosfera accogliente. Tornerò sicuramente per provare altre specialità del menu.
02/07/2025: Un posto magico, una veduta spettacolare a due passi dal centro di Sorrento, una cena incredibile con prodotti di altissima qualità, ci torneremo sicuramente!

14/10/2023: Passeggiando ci siamo fermati. Bella location sul pontile con mattonelle del pavimento a vetro. Tavoli apparecchiati molto minimalist stile mare. Servizio un po’ lento e con qualche dimenticanza. Pesce molto buono. Abbiamo preso: 2 antipasti, 1 secondo, 2 dolci, acqua, 1 coca, 2 bicchieri vino e 2 caffè: euro 125!
Capisco che siamo a Sorrento sul mare a Sorrento … ma un bel MA è di dovere. Non penso co tornerò.
29/08/2023: Non riesco a capacitarmi di come un normalissimo lido balneare con pontile sul mare sicuramente carino possa offrire piatti da autogrill e servizi quasi nulli a dei prezzi assolutamente assurdi.
Questo è l’esempio lampante di come l’imprenditoria italiana del settore turistico sia totalmente inadeguata, poco lungimirante e mediocre.
Sono disposto a pagare senza problemi per qualità, servizio, ambiente ma non per la mediocrità.
Un giorno la “zizzinella” finirà e tireremo le somme
