03/01/2026: I don't what to say...Im American, and a Texan...a bit of a beef snob😜 ive traveled all over Europe and gave up trying hamburgers at places. I eat various meals at different price points but sometimes just have a need for a cheeseburger... but gave up trying in Europe in general. But ive come to Max's several times, the service is excellent and the food has always been very good, so I said I will go ahead and try a smash burger on the menu. Omg...sooooooo good!!!!!! You will not be disappointed 😉😘 best cheeseburger in Europe💯

30/06/2026: What happened? .... change of pizza chef?.... The pizzas I had this evening, different flavors, seem old. It's a shame because they've always been excellent.

24/02/2026: I was at this venue for a concert, so my opinion is limited to that experience, with only a (fantastic) platter as a reference. The staff's dedication to managing the room with its many small tables was commendable. The atmosphere was a bit cold and anonymous.

The utmost care was taken over every detail, from the room decor to the refined dishes to the courteous service of the staff, always attentive, helpful, professional, and smiling. 10/07/2026: I don't even know where to start. This pizzeria is so much more than just a pizzeria for me; it's a piece of my childhood. I used to come here when I was about 4–6 years old, before moving to Canada in 2015. The last time I visited was in 2017, when I returned to Sulmona. I still remember the layout of the pizzeria and, above all, that truly unforgettable Pizza Bianca, the one with chopped sausages and fries, topped with ketchup and mayo. It was so unique that I've never found anything like it anywhere else. I want to say, this pizza has stayed with me all these years. Even though I've never been able to find it elsewhere, that has never stopped me from trying to recreate it myself. But no matter how many times I make it, nothing will ever compare to the one at Italpizza. I just want to thank whoever created this wonderful recipe. I don't remember the names or faces of the people who worked there back then, but if you were part of the staff between 2014 and 2017, know that your pizza changed my way of experiencing food forever. I hope everything is going well and I wish you all the best. Thank you for creating a memory I will cherish for the rest of my life.

02/12/2025: Locale accogliente e molto curato adatto sia ai giovani che alle famiglie. Servono una pizza molto buona , buoni anche gli hamburger così come i vari secondi. Una nota di merito ai dolci in particolar modo alle ciambelline alla Nutella. Offrono anche la possibilità di seguire gli incontri di calcio e la Champions League grazie ai numerosi schermi presenti. Consigliatissimo.

23/02/2026: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our stay at Grancia dei Celestini was absolutely amazing. Set within a beautiful historic establishment full of charm and character, the atmosphere is truly special. Everything was spotless and impeccably maintained. Antonio is a wonderful host — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. His care and attention to every detail made us feel completely at home. The breakfast and dinner was delicious and prepared with so much love. An unforgettable experience — we can’t wait to return!

20/12/2025: We stopped here WITHOUT a reservation and LOVED IT! Antonio was brilliant and "il cuoco," Claudio served us "a meal to die for." We loved the informality. We arrived for dinner and made not a single decision, the meal was pre-detemined and fabulous. This is our new home away from home.

14/07/2026: I find it unacceptable that in Montella they charge a whopping €2.50 for a cappuccino (without even water) and €1.50 for a Nutella croissant. We're not in Monte Carlo, are we? The average price in Montella is just over half that, so stay away.

19/07/2026: We bought a place nearby and came across this restaurant by chance. Not arrogant or saying we know better than others but we live in Dubai and I think we know what quality food and service is. Whoever has written negative reviews either must be an exception or a long time ago. I give this 5 stars, Massimo looked after us now on our multiple visits and we met the lovely owner. This is our favourite for food in Sulmona and well worth a visit if you get chance.... enjoy
