17/12/2024: I have returned, for the umpteenth time, to this restaurant and I must confirm with great pleasure what I have already written previously. The very pleasant atmosphere of the place and the cordial welcome of the two owner brothers prepare you for a lunch that will certainly be remembered for the quality of the dishes (all from the gastronomic tradition of Central Abruzzo but with a skilful mix of innovations by Tina and Marcella who work in the kitchen under the watchful eye of Mamma Lucia (a living monument of catering in the city of Sulmona). If we then add the type of room service carried out by Marco and Giacomo with their collaborator Emilio, absolutely flawless due to the consolidated precision and courtesy, we understand why eating in the Ristorante da Gino is always a very pleasant experience and why the restaurant is a sure point of reference in the gastronomic panorama of the city of Sulmona.

06/12/2024: Family-run place where professionalism, competence, friendliness and friendliness in the service are included in the price and where the customer feels pampered. When I'm in Sulmona it's an obligatory "stop": it's always nice to go back!!! The cuisine is excellent, it's a shame it's closed in the evening for dinner. Better to book.

We took a mixed appetizer from Camilla, a gnocchi with pistachios and a pasta and potatoes with provola. A mixed grill with side dishes and desserts. The price is in line with what we got, not cheap but fair. Advised.

03/01/2025: I'll tell you about my experience in this restaurant: as soon as I entered the reception was 0, in fact I was the one who approached the waiter to ask for a table otherwise they would have left me there. As soon as I start talking to the waiter to ask if he had a table for 2 he starts to get annoyed by responding with a terrible tone, he almost accompanied us out, he could simply say we are full there is no availability. In my opinion, customers shouldn't be treated this way, I wouldn't even go there if they paid me; bad experience.

03/01/2025: I PREMISE I AM FROM ABBRUZZE...We trusted the reviews but absolutely to be avoided. Little choice of dishes, only one side dish, spinach boiled and served without any condiment, what's more we come to their strong point... ARROSTICINI AS A TRUE ABBRUZZIAN I WOULDN'T HAVE NEVER THOUGHT OF SEEING ROASTS COOKED IN THE OVEN. RIGHT IN THE HEART OF ABBRUZZE YES YOU UNDERSTOOD CORRECT...BAKED..BUT PLEASE.AT THIS POINT DO NOT MAKE THEM DO NOT RUIN THIS DELICACY OF OUR LAND.

10/01/2025: I've been there twice with a very large group. Friendly staff available to accommodate requests. Excellent food, let us advise you on your order. Good choice of beers also on tap. I recommend Bush if you like Du Demon-like liqueur beer. Juicy and tasty top quality local burgers. Fried good and dry. Honest prices, paid an average of 15 per person but having ordered the kebabs the price is more than correct.

We had dinner by taking a platter and pizza and left more than full, but above all very satisfied with the tasty flavors and the quality of the ingredients. The advice is to book. We were there at the threshold of winter, but in summer the garden is certainly very pleasant.

17/12/2024: My family and I together with a couple of friends had dinner in this excellent restaurant in Sulmona after an afternoon of guided tour of the city. Booked for a convenient time with small children so as not to create too much chaos during peak service times. Seats provided without problems and a peaceful and slightly reserved environment with small children. The pizzas were truly excellent, delicious and highly recommended. Excellent roasts. All really good. The menu is full of traditional local dishes that should be discovered gradually because even observing the dishes of other tables the eye was pleasantly struck as were the equally inviting aromas. I congratulate this very good restaurant.

11/12/2024: I was here with my girlfriend a few weeks ago. We were in Sulmona for a tour and I was looking for an authentic, informal place where you could eat well. Many choices of pasta (the most popular is the carbonara). We opted for wild boar ragù (ni) and artichokes and sausage (super). Generous portions and possibility to choose type of pasta, fresh or dry. I also had a hamburger (honestly one of the best I've eaten in my life). I would stay here again!

17/11/2024: I had a solo lunch here in early November. The wine and the pasta (ragù di cinghiale) were good, but not as good as some other places. The restaurant is located on a side street and has some outdoor tables, which were very pleasant.
