28/01/2025: I was lucky enough to stay in Pescocostanzo on a Tuesday and find a place at Paolino's... we had a great time!!

25/01/2025: UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE We had a reservation at 2pm, but at 1.30pm we were called because they wanted to assign our table to other customers since they had mistakenly marked us for 1pm. When we arrived at 1.45pm the welcome was terrible, but in any case it had nothing to do with the continuation of lunch. One of the waiters was particularly intrusive during the service, constantly appearing at the table and standing between us in silence, creating a lot of embarrassment. The climax came at dessert time: a boy was undecided about the order and he walked away huffing and then came back and made a mess when taking the order. To top it off he stood behind us while we ate the desserts. Really a shame because the dishes are very good and the bill is adequate

22/01/2025: We had a great time. Very welcoming and warm place. Service staff attentive and helpful. And to top it off we ate very well. If there had been the possibility we would have gladly returned another evening later. Advised!

18/01/2025: Small restaurant with fresh pasta first courses (ricotta ravioli, guitar, gnocchi and fettuccine with various sauces). Even the dessert (we ate the hazelnut basket with cream) is worthy.

19/01/2025: Exceptional experience! Everything was excellent, from the starter to the dessert. No negative notes on the service either, kind and helpful. I definitely recommend trying the polenta with broccoli and bacon and the chocolate and raisin tart. The bill was absolutely adequate for the quantity and quality. We thought we would pay more. I highly recommend it!

09/02/2025: We went to Il Gallo di Pietra in Pescocostanzo at the invitation of friends, and it was a truly pleasant experience. The restaurant has an extremely romantic atmosphere, with soft lights and a setting that always recalls a bit of the Christmas atmosphere. The restaurant, in a historic building, retains all its charm. Initially I was a bit perplexed about the appetizers, since the proposal is mainly based on platters, which this time we skipped. We instead opted for the first and second courses off the menu, following the staff's advice. The ravioli filled with ricotta and covered with truffles were really excellent, as was the braised meat in wine, accompanied by local side dishes such as bitter and slightly spicy chicory. The wine selection is extensive and the desserts delicious - the meringues and apple strudel were both exceptional. A special applause for the courtesy of the staff, in particular for Vittorio, very nice and very attentive. In conclusion, a place where we will definitely return. The price is in line with the quality and average of the area, therefore absolutely recommended!

09/02/2025: Very cute and cozy restaurant in Pescocostanzo. Food was excellent. Service was perfect. Atmosphere was just what you would hope for in this quaint mountain town with small, intimate rooms and even a fireplace. Highly recommend.
