We had the pleasure of dining at Sale e Pepe restaurant in San Giovanni Rotondo, and the experience was simply superb. ​Let's start with the food: the food is excellent! It's clear that the chef and his team know their stuff, with dishes that showcase the flavors and ingredients. ​However, it's in the dining room that the magical, secret ingredient of this place comes into play: Elena and Antonio. ​From the first moment, they make you feel at ease, as if you were at the home of old friends. Antonio stands out for his innate charm combined with impeccable professionalism, expertly guiding you through your choices. Elena, originally from Naples, has that extra something: not only is she welcoming and spontaneous, but she also stands out for her great professionalism and expert service, which greatly enrich the customer experience. ​Highly recommended for those looking not only for excellent food, but also for a warm welcome and high-quality service! We dine here as we stay at the Gran Paradiso hotel. It is in the same level with the hotel lobby. Service and atmosphere are excellent, waiters were attentive and fast eventhough we were not speaking Italian. Food are just okay to our liking. Beers are nice.

The ingredients were excellent, as was the preparation and presentation of the dishes. The first courses and desserts were spectacular! Compliments to the Chef and the waiting staff.

I booked here for two with the fork. It was a truly enjoyable evening that I would happily repeat! The menu offers a good variety across the various courses, including a truly extensive dessert menu that's rarely found in a restaurant. The wine list is excellent. There's also a choice of first and second courses of the day. Everything we ordered was perfect, both in quality and portions. I was almost disappointed. But on the plus side, when the pavlova arrived, the photo I uploaded doesn't convey the size—it was practically two portions, almost three! And it was spectacular! The setting and staff absolutely lived up to what you'd expect from a restaurant in a 4-star hotel, even more. You truly feel like an important guest eating here! Thanks again for dinner yesterday! The price was almost too low for what we ate: a starter, two main courses, two desserts (not ready-made stuff from the fridge, but real desserts), beer, and coffee for just over 80 euros, even less with The Fork's discount!

The staff was courteous, friendly, and attentive to every need. Since I have many allergies and don't eat meat, they were able to create a menu that suited me without any problems. The dishes were tasty and the portions were adequate. The location was clean and well-maintained.

A very welcoming and elegant location just a few meters from the Padre Pio shrine. The staff is helpful and ready to answer any questions. The tonnarello with shrimp tartare is excellent. Good value for money. I recommend it.

Hospitality, kindness and refined dishes in an elegant and quiet environment. Recommended.

Carbonara buonissima, servizio veloce e impeccabile, carta dei vini molto ampia, i dolci tutti squisiti, anche se siamo di foggia ci sposteremo spesso per venire in questo ristorante, siamo stati incuriositi dai social
