Nice and clean atmosphere. Extensive menu with all the Umbrian dishes. Excellent black truffle. We had excellent bruschetta, very good pici with Norcina sauce, and a delicious tagliata. I recommend it. Prices are normal.

We spent a week in Perugia and during that time we visited Gatto Nero 3 times for dinner. Parking is at a premium but this restaurant has a wonderful friendly ambience. None of our meal choices let us down and the staff were super helpful. It’s part of the Italy we love.

15/05/2026: Great service, delicious food, great atmosphere. I highly recommend it.
12/05/2026: We popped in last month, as we cut through side street to the main Palazzo, and came across this jewel. They were busy, but they squeezed us in this charming wine bar, and butcher. The choices of vino, and meats, cheeses were amazing! Great owner, staff was thin, but they kept the place busy getting through the rush! When we come back, we will visit again. We bought some rare vino from the stock.

27/04/2026: The pasta was really great, I'll definitely try it again.
18/04/2026: On the main street, a very nice place inside, with characteristic exposed stone. The restrooms are very clean, with disinfectants on hand. A handful of tables outside. And now for the food, we ordered half a pizza and a Sicilian-style bread.... wow, it was amazing, delicious, incredibly crunchy, about 350-400 grams of bread, really good, fresh ingredients. The pizza, crunchy, absolutely delicious. Really affordable prices, we're talking about 8 euros for a sandwich and 2 euros for a drink. Excellent and fast service. Well done.
