I recently visited Il Cestino and had a fantastic seafood experience. The freshness of the seafood really stood out—from the oysters and scallops to the prawns and sea urchins, everything tasted clean, delicate, and well-preserved. The presentation on ice with fresh garnishes like lemon and greens added to the overall appeal.🥂

The food is amazing! Some of the most flavorful Carbonara and Pomodoro pasta I’ve had. They also speak both English and Spanish, which is very convenient. Just a small note: service can be a bit particular. It’s best to wait until the staff approaches you, as one of the waitresses may come across as unfriendly if called directly.

Good food at a fair price... BUT there's an additional €3.50 cover charge per person... the food was delicious... nice atmosphere.

My family and I visit this restaurant every time! The waiters always have a sense of humor. 🙂 It's a touristy place and the food is high-quality!

06/03/2026: This osteria was recommended to us, and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was plentiful and delicious. We went as a couple, but we'll be back with friends. If I could only recommend it... please highlight the sign... we had to ask.

09/04/2026: We had lunch outside... a delicious Milanese cutlet, excellent service... and the owner? Mrs. Ludovica!... what can I say... elegant, refined, polite, friendly and so on... 10 with honors
18/03/2026: We discovered this restaurant on our first day in Milan and ate there 3 days in a row. The staff were very friendly. Each day the restaurant was packed for lunch with Italians - always a good sign. We tried the Milanese chop which was delicious but enormous so we didn't manage to eat all. The pasta with tomato sauce and burrata was delicious and more a portion we could manage as was the pasta with meat sauce, hazelnuts and goats cheese. Finally we can recommend the apple tarte tartin with vanilla ice-cream. The atmosphere at lunch was delightful with all the Italians chatting over lunch and the service was fast despite every table being taken. A taste of Italy not an unauthentic tourist restaurant.
