Ristorante Filippo In Pietrasanta

SO AND SO. Given the good reviews we decide to try the restaurant da Filippo. As soon as we arrive they make us choose whether to eat outside or inside, we opt for outside. We don't start off very well when the couple who arrived after us were welcomed first and served first, but an oversight can happen. We choose the 'so it is if you like' menu, after the third course we realize that the menu was wrong and we proceeded with the seafood one, our fault for not having pointed out the mistake, unfortunately however we have reached the second oversight. The food is good, but not excellent as advertised. Disappointed by the sprinkling of 'crusco' pepper, being originally from those areas I know it very well and honestly I remember a different and less 'powdered' flavor, the chef will surely have understood what I'm talking about. The tables outside are literally in the dark and it's really difficult to see what's on the plate. The truly exceptional thing is the bread, with a FANTASTIC leavening and an excellent flavor! The price was influenced by the exchange of menus, we rightly spent for what we ate. The customer-chef relationship, which is usually found in certain places, was zero, too bad, a comparison or acquaintance is always nice. Unfortunately I don't feel like recommending it. A true culinary experience! Our visit to Filippo's was a complete success. The service was of an impressively high standard – friendly, attentive, and well-trained. Dishes and questions were explained to us patiently, even in English. The relaxed atmosphere, especially on the terrace, perfectly rounded off the experience. We had a five-course menu that guided us through the menu. The combination of fish and meat dishes was balanced, high-quality, and beautifully presented. Particularly impressive: some dishes seemed simple at first glance, but the fine details and excellent quality made them truly special. Filippo's is the perfect place for anyone seeking a true culinary experience in Italy – whether as a couple, with friends, or simply to treat themselves. And all this in the charming setting of Pietrasanta – a place that wonderfully combines culture and enjoyment.

Unfortunately disappointed despite high expectations; food good and well prepared but not at exceptional levels. Excellent wine list. Inaccurate service. In my personal experience, the year 2024, my wife's birthday, I booked the birthday cake and a bouquet of flowers on the restaurant's website and paid the advance; at the time of dinner there was no cake, no bouquet of flowers, nor did they see that I had paid 150 in advance. Unpleasant indeed, and birthday ruined. The very kind owner apologized by giving away a bottle of medium quality champagne but it certainly doesn't solve the problem. Average high price. To be reevaluated

Attention to detail, more than excellent service and excellent quality food.

Nice place in Pietrasanta. Very refined dishes, really good. Very kind staff, they immediately put you at ease. Very beautiful spaces, perfect cleanliness.

Cena in due con scelta del menù degustazione di pesce 5 portate a testa. 1 Antipasto 3 Primi 1 Dessert. Ottimo tutto. Dire cosa mi ha colpito di più non è facile. Tutte le portate sono un ottima armonia di sapori. Complimenti a tutto lo staff dalla cucina alla sala.

Dinner for two with a choice of the 5-course tasting menu each. 1 Starter 3 First courses 1 Dessert. Everything is excellent. Saying what struck me most is not easy. All courses are an excellent harmony of flavors. Congratulations to all the staff from the kitchen to the dining room.
