Beautiful place a stone's throw from the centre, very elegant and with impeccable service. Delicious dishes with excellent choice of ingredients. Maximum kindness and professionalism from the staff.

This is "millefoglie" I start from the dessert to describe this delicious restaurant, a fantastic location just hidden from the main street, but look for it, it's worth it, from the absolutely kind and knowledgeable staff, to the layout of the tables, to the quality of the dishes offered, and to the excellent quality of the wines in the cellar, price appropriate to the quality without any ifs and buts, top 1 in L'Aquila

Tasting menu for vegetarians excellent and generous in portions. High quality of food. Professional, prepared and never intrusive service. Nice little anecdote: they chased us out of the restaurant, after we had paid, to tell us that they actually wanted to give us some dessert as a gift. We willingly accepted, even though we were full, and we didn't regret it: delicious homemade sweet millefeuille. Price more than adequate for the experience. I highly recommend.

This restaurant deserves a thousand stars. It is truly refined, the service is impeccable: attentive, competent, and discreet. The food is simply wonderful! Very good! The venue is beautiful! Historic and elegant. The price is also low for the quality offered. I highly recommend trying this amazing dining experience. We will return next time we are in town. Congratulations to all the staff!

Locale molto bello, situato in un palazzo storico ben restaurato, ha soddisfatto ogni nostra aspettativa sia dal punto di vista del servizio che della qualità delle vivande e dei vini. Piacevole e gradito il piccolo aperitivo offerto per alleviare l'attesa, peraltro breve, dei piatti, raffinate e deliziose le portate, ottimo persino il pane, presentato in tre qualità diverse (tutte squisite) accompagnate da un'ottima focaccia locale. Personale gentile e professionale, ottimo il suggerimento del sommelier per la scelta dei vini. Prezzo medio/alto, più che adeguato alla cura di ogni particolare, in primis la bontà delle vivande e il servizio impeccabile.

Ci è stato suggerito da un amico. Il locale è molto raffinato, con personale gentile, presente e attento ai dettagli. Abbiamo scelto il menù di terra. Dall‘ antipasto al dessert e‘ risultato di qualità molto buona. Interessante la carta dei vini le cui proposte vengono presentate con competenza. Consiglio assolutamente.

Historic and very elegant place. Designed for more than formal dinners and to enjoy a culinary and artistic experience. The staff, attentive and kind, make the evening excellent. The cook makes life more pleasant.

30/12/2024: A good address for honest home cooking. Portions in Abruzzo style, therefore more than satisfactory. The highlight is the local dish, a first course, cazzarell and fuje, truly excellent. The enormous lean ravioli covered in a good tomato and meat sauce are also good. The wild boar stew is also very good, tender and tasty. The sausages are good, but then in Abruzzo it is difficult for them not to be. A somewhat anonymous appetizer, with cured meats that are not typically local, except for a good ricotta and good homemade pickles. I also added some grilled scamorza, not particularly juicy. There were 5 of us, and with two starters, 4 first courses, two second courses, a side dish, a tiramisu (very good), three coffees, a liter of house wine (Tollo winery), and water, total cost 125 euros. Honest.

La Locanda del Carrettiere

31/12/2024: The true "Abruzzo inn". Immersed in the greenery and tranquility typical of our villages, the Locanda del Carrettiere offers simple but at the same time refined cuisine with excellent quality ingredients. The menu is very well looked after, the staff are friendly and helpful, the service is fast and the location is very suggestive. Furthermore, there is the possibility of staying overnight on site just as they used to do in the past. Recommended for a business lunch if you are in the area.
08/12/2024: Very good dinner of excellent quality starting from the starter to the first courses and the meat, even the service, I must say the staff were kind and friendly, the price was fair in my opinion, I would also add a positive note to the cleanliness of the place! I highly recommend it!!
