Lo Stappo In Valeggio sul mincio

We stopped at 2:30 PM and were terrified the kitchen would be closed, but even people who sat down after us continued eating. Not much to say about the atmosphere... you're on the river and it feels like you're in a movie. I honestly thought it was one of those tourist spots where the service is terrible and the food mediocre, but it was quite the opposite. The service was efficient and precise. The lake fish was delicious, sweet and sour, and really well done. My tortellini were okay, not the best I've ever eaten, but they were still well-made. Also, I thought the price was really expensive considering the location, but it was absolutely in line with today's prices. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the village!

Amazing spot to sit and enjoy the scenery of Borghetto. The Tortellini were delicious however ; one probably has to bring one’s own Parmegiano. If you want cheese on your pasta you have to the ask the waiter who will come and drizzle some and turn away instantly and not allow seconds at will.

A wonderful experience. I chose the "local tastes" tasting menu, which I found very enjoyable and interesting. The service was impeccable. The view is splendid. Definitely a place I'd happily return to.

On Sunday, we went to Valeggio sul Mincio and, during our stroll through the charming village of Borghetto, we decided to stop for lunch at a truly charming location: the Lo Stappo restaurant. It should be said right away that the location is the restaurant's true and perhaps only strong point: the restaurant overlooks the Mincio River, in a romantic and picturesque setting, ideal for a relaxing break. It's a shame, however, that the rest of the experience wasn't up to par. We chose a "tasting menu" for €40 per person, which included: • three courses of tortellini • a bottle of water, • a bottle of wine (tax). The problem? The portions were truly symbolic samples, while good, but certainly not enough to justify the price. Furthermore, the service seemed cold and careless, with little attention to the customer. Pros: Enchanting location, perfect for enjoying the village. Beautifully plated dishes and quality ingredients. Cons: Extremely small portions. Decidedly unbalanced value for money. Non-optional wine and impersonal service. If you're looking for a scenic spot to enjoy a glass of wine with a view, Lo Stappo is a great choice. But if you're expecting a complete gastronomic experience that's in line with the price, you may be disappointed.

Open only for lunch outside of the season. Uniquely beautiful location.

A must!! The ravioli robiola e lime were a culinary experience par excellence

Whenever we go to Lake Garda, we always go to Lo Stappo for dinner. Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, and good service. For us, Lo Stappo is the best restaurant in Borghetto. Highly recommended!
