Stunning and unique location....the service doesn't live up to the setting...the wait is too long.

A sensational location for a seaside restaurant, overlooking the cathedral in the summer months. A very intimate setting with very professional service. Dishes are beautifully plated. The only drawback is the price of a glass of wine: €10 for a glass of Calafuria rosé is simply not reasonable. It's important to remember that the price of two glasses can't exceed the price of the bottle, even with a 100% markup.

Incredible room: it feels like being in an old cathedral.
A fairly traditional restaurant with old-fashioned, rather pleasant service. Fresh seafood. Be sure to order local fish and shellfish, as they also serve fish from all over Italy, and even Canada (not to mention salmon).
The wine list is moderately extensive. We had a Boca di Lupo Fiano from Avellino in Puglia, good, though somewhat technical.

Aside from the lady who takes reservations over the phone and greets you at the door, who is truly unfriendly and unwelcoming, the location is truly beautiful, the food is high-quality, with truly sophisticated preparation, and the waiters' service is top-notch. The value for money is fair, considering the à la carte menu we ordered.
We'll definitely be back, booking via email so as not to interact with the lady who runs the place.

This restaurant has a unique charm because you have the privilege of dining in a deconsecrated medieval church. This church was built between the 12th and 13th centuries on one side of Trani's harbor. After a few centuries, the place of worship lost its initial designation when it was deconsecrated. Then, in 1541, it was incorporated into a small fort for defensive purposes. Beyond the charm of the restaurant, which is practically opposite Trani's beautiful cathedral and the harbor, the food here is good. The cuisine is refined, with excellent seafood, well-prepared and beautifully presented. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The wine list is good. We had an appetizer, a first course, and a bottle of white wine, followed by dessert. Everything was delicious and served in a reasonable amount of time. The prices may be a bit high, but it's a restaurant worth trying. In summer, you can dine al fresco on the terrace with a wonderful view of the harbor and Trani's cathedral.

I've been to Le Lampare al Fortino in Trani and can honestly say it's one of those unforgettable culinary experiences.
The location is simply stunning: right on the harbor, in a setting that blends history and modern design, with a breathtaking view of the sea and the old town. It's the kind of place where just sitting down at a table makes you feel like you're on vacation, immersed in an elegant and refined atmosphere.
The food lived up to expectations: well-crafted dishes, rich in flavors and aromas, with particular attention to raw ingredients, especially the freshest fish and seafood. Each course surprises with its balance and creativity, with pairings that enhance Mediterranean tradition with a contemporary twist.
The service is professional and welcoming, with staff attentive to detail and ready to recommend wines and dishes to make the experience even more complete.
In short, Le Lampare al Fortino combines a picture-perfect view, high-quality cuisine, and impeccable service. It's definitely the kind of restaurant I'd love to return to, perfect for a special dinner or a memorable moment.
