Kitchen In Como

the atmosphere is really nice, but the service is super slow. Food is okay but nothing special

This restaurant is a delicious culinary adventure. From start to finish each course is a series of well constructed bites that takes your pallet on a flavour rollercoaster. The thing that impressed me the most is how well they accommodate dietary restrictions. The quality remained the same between the regular menu, to the lactose free, to the vegetarian. It would be a shame to visit lake como and not eat here.

Phenomenal restaurant, food, service and experience. Every dish was incredibly flavorful. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. This place is a must go for anyone who visits Lake Como.

I wanted to treat myself after DJing an absolutely wonderful wedding here in Como, Italy. So I stopped at the Kitchen before I hit the road back to Switzerland and I got surprised by every single taste. The Chef’s appetizers were an exciting explosion of delicious flavors and the Pinot Nero was the best sparkling accompaniment to it! BRAVO to chef & team! Thank you for this awesome experience. I was very pleased with Kitchen. The service and ambience were excellent and above average for a 1 star restaurant. We had a group of five and did the lunch tasting menu, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The bread and initial bites were very tasty, especially the tomato and mozzarella bite. The zucchini basil foam was absolutely spectacular—so light and creamy. I was allergic to the langoustine, so they substituted with a chicken liver pâté, which was very good. The ravioli was good and presented beautifully, and the pigeon was excellent. The pre-dessert bite was phenomenal, and the star of the show was the almond dessert, which left me craving more all day. Overall, a very lovely experience and deserving of a star!

First experience in a gourmet restaurant and pleasantly surprised! The tastes are surprising and very sought after! The service is impeccable!! We had a great time!! I will always remember my 30th birthday!!

It was our second dinner in Como but unfortunately it didn’t match the first one (see previous review). Clearly it felt that the restaurant had a mission to promote the most expensive items: We had just sat and before even ordering drinks we were asked to choose from an expensive caviar menu we never asked for. I don’t think the restaurant appreciated the fact we decided to do an a la carte dinner rather than tasting menu. I don’t appreciate when waiter try to whisk your plate before being done especially when portion are minuscule to start with. While the food was tasty , it lacked any creativity one would expect in a Michelin starred restaurant and definitely when your bill is quite expensive. An average night to say the least.

We wanted to explore other (starred) restaurant around Como. We decided to opt for kitchen, aften searching about. Place is nice, in a small buidling, near a big hotel. Interiors are cared, even if a bit old style, ams mybe a refresh can be good. Another plus is the vry limited number of tables, so cook can focus better on meals. People are at most strangers, so some choices are dictated by internaìtional trends. (for examlel caviar... but WHY on Lake of Como?) At start we have weird feelings, but with time we feel good and confoertable. We ate "à la carte". Food and preparation was at high level, as wines and services. So we can say it deserves its star.

The food and service were impeccable. The wine pairing was on point. It is located in a separate building from the Sheraton Hotel. This is by no means hotel dining. This may even be 2 star Michelin quality!
